I love these cages for my chinchillas. The designs do take animal safety into account. For example, I customized a cage and forgot to change the cage bar spacing to a smaller size for my chins. The company noticed and made sure that it was made appropriately. — — The wire floors can be tricky to clean, so I recommend against getting a wire floor slide out pan.
