Martin's Cages —
I love these cages for my chinchillas. The designs do take animal safety into account. For example, I customized a cage and forgot to change the cage bar spacing to a smaller size for my chins. The company noticed and made sure that it was made appropriately.The wire floors can be tricky to clean, so I recommend against getting a wire floor slide out pan. It is easy for quick bedding changes, but can be very annoying to clean. The wire shelves still may get icky, but you'll have a lot easier access to clean them!
Overall, very sturdy and safe. A much better value than almost anything you can find in a petstore.
