Marley and Me: Life and love with the world's worst dog
by
John Grogan

Marley and Me is a book that has been around for a few years and I just have never got around to reading.  When it was given to me by a friend who said it was a quick and easy read, I decided to dive in. As a proud owner of a loving, howling Beagle and rambunctious Puggle, I was excited to read the misadventures of another dog owner and his beloved friend.

John Grogan recalls many years with his great friend Marley, a yellow lab who is the most adorable, quirky  dog ever!  Petrified of thunderstorms, Marley will stop at nothing to dig, chew, claw his way into the house.  Marley also likes to take his owners on walks.  Over the years, Marley was the source of many messes and the receiver of a lot of love.

Marley and Me had me laughing and was definitely a pick-me-up type of book.  I found myself in Grogan's shoes while he was retelling many of Marley's wonderful stories.  As a dog owner and lover, I was totally engrossed in this book and found it to be an enlightening, heartwarming, quick read.  Even if you don't own a dog or particularly love them, I think you will still enjoy Marley and Me.

I got this book as a gift from my Aunt. I haven't read it yet but she told me she loved it and that is why she bought it for me. I will definitely open it up and get started!

I always see this in the bookstore but never actually picked it up to see what it was about. Thanks for the review.

It is such a fun read! Bryan had it and I "borrowed it" from him. I try to remember these things when my westie misbehaves.

I have heard of this but never read it. It sounds cute. I have a special bond with my dog and I totally relate to "dog stories".
