Marley and Me: Life And Love With the World's Worst Dog —

This book was selected last year as one of our book club picks.  I was not altogether gung ho about this one when I saw the cover, because I have had one too many run-ins with cheesy animal stories, and while I love animals, the cheese gets to me.

Well, okay, it was a little cheesy, but a book involving animals?  You know there's going to be a little bit of cheese.  But it's good cheese, like Gouda, or Havarti, or Jalapeno Jack.  Maybe even a high quality colby.

It's not plastic-wrapped American.

Okay, enough about cheese, but with all of the things that Marley puts in his mouth, it's got me thinking about food.

Anyway, I don't want to give anything about this book away, but it was fabulous, there were some great tear-jerker-special moments, and more than a few laughs - nay, GUFFAWS!

Enjoy this book, it's a good one.

No way could I read this one! I cried just looking at the pictures in my Mom's book! :-)
