Gleamstick is a different kind of lip color. It is a lipstick but has a more soothing balmy feel. The colors are very soft and natural looking and have a light minty flavor that's surprisingly refreshing.

I chose Flirtatious  which is a soft sheer plummy shade, great for Fall/Winter wearing, it's just enough color without looking too purple or muddy. Next came Euphoric which is a really pretty natural rosy brown, it's like you're own lips only better.  Your lips end up with a nice sheen, nothing too glossy or shiny, certainly perfect for a casual 'no-makeup' look. I found these to stay on as long as most lipsticks with regular touch-up's as needed. They do a good job of moisturizing and keeping lips comfortable.

The tubes, as is the case with many of mark's products such as lip colors, mascara, liquid eye liner, pencils and such, can be connected together by a separate  "hook-up' barrel in the center, a neat way to mix-n-match a variety of these items without taking up a lot of room in your bag.

Gleamsticks sell for $5.50 each, purchase two and you get the connector for free. Personally, you really shouldn't have to pay for this little barrel connector as the sticks are pricy enough for a small, slender tube. otherwise the piece is .25 cents on it's own. C'mon Avon, get real!

Would I repurchase Gleamsticks? possibly but I can't say these are better or worse than any other lipstick on the market, just a little different and overall more natural looking than most traditional lipstick.
