Mark. is one of my favorite cosmetic lines. It's a brand owned by the popular and long time running Avon brand but it's geared towards teens and young women. I love many things about the line - they're always coming out with new and different things. For example, they came out with these products that are called "hook-ups". Basically, they're mini mascaras, eye pencils, eye shadows, lip gloss, and lip pencils that are able to connect, or "hook-up" if you will, to each other via a little round tube that you receive free if you buy 2 of the hookup products. Very portable and very inovative. The lip smoother I am reviewing today is part of the Hook-up line along with 3 other different facial treatments.

As an idea, this is a winner. Having portable-sized treatments that can connect to each other that you can just toss in your bag! Genius! However, the product in itself is NOT the greatest - at least for the price you are paying!

Each of the treatment hook-ups run at $8 a piece. And each tube contains approximatly 5 grams of product. About the size of half a tube of squeezable carmex. I would not mind paying the money for something that works really well, but this product isn't worth what it does. I'm not saying it's a BAD product, because it's not. I would buy it if I could get it for $1.50 a tube. But for $8 I was expecting something, well, more.

I have extremely dry, flakey lips all year round - especially in the winter. I am constantly applying lip balm to keep my lips from cracking, flaking, and hurting. I thought that this product might keep the symptoms away for a longer period of time. Nope. This was basically just a glorified lip balm. It has the same consistency of squeezable carmex and about the same effect - for $6.50 more! The only amenity this product has that I find useful is the hook-up ability - which is not really a neccessity. Out of all the treatment hook-ups, this one is the most useless. To pay $8 for a lip balm is ridiculous.
