Phenomenal homemade ice cream and fudge (you can order a jar and bring it home for later).  Margie's has been around, in the same location in Bucktown, since 1921 -- and the decor looks it.  The place is tiny and there is always a wait but for a humongous sundae with wafer cookies and an urn of fudge sauce for about 3 bucks it is always worth it!  They have boxes of delicious chocolates for sale also - a great place to go to buy your Easter bunnies but beware you must buy them early because they always sell out.  They have food (casual diner type) also but after 15 years… read full review »

This is the last of its kind you can not find any more ice cream shops like this anymore.  It's older than dirt been around for ever.  It has all the stuff you can think of from banana splits, floats and homemade chocolate they have it all.  Its a fantastic place to go with your date or your kids. I highly recommend at least going to check it out in the summer.  It is very reasonable priced and friendly staff.  You must go before they turn it into condos....
