Margaritaville Blender - Frozen Concoction Maker DM1000 Review

We bought this at the Linens and Things going out of businesss sale, the Margaritaville blender dm1000 was on our watch list from the first time we saw it in the skymall magazine.  Even on sale, it was 189 dollars, but has lived up to its potential as a ice shaver and drink mixer all together in one machine.  My husband has taken control of the drink mixing with company to show off the automatic features.  You have your choices one, two or three drink positions and then either auto or manual and then it is all the machine working not you.  I went through a back to basics blender with spout (broke) and a Kitchen Aid that cost twice of what I paid for it in repairs when the plastic parts melted inside the motor (who puts plastic parts in a blender motor?)  As of right now   all thumbs up for the margaritaville blender!
