March of the Penguins 2005 —

It is an amazing documentary that is presented more as a story.  A wonderful educational experience for young and old alike.  We watch a lot of animal documentaries and my family has learned, not only facts, but an appreciation of the natural world.  This film is very moving and may be too intense for very sensitive children and not for young children, but is an opportunity for families to discuss life and death, hardship, triumph and how truly amazing nature is.  A wonderful example of animal adaptation, survival and the ultimate sacrifice parents make for their young and their species.
