Mantis 7225 - 15 - 02 U 2 - cycle Tiller Reviews

The Mantis is easy to start, easy to handle, and easy to transport.  We share it between 3 families who live about 12 miles apart and find it very trouble- free in folding up and transporting.  I like the idea that I have control by the pulling back actionI have to use when working in the garden. 

The only difficult part is cleaning out the tines of the Mantis once bigger leaves and/or roots get entangled.  That is partly due to our falult for not keeping our beds cleaner, though.

I don't have this mantis but I do own the first original one that came out many moons ago and I love it!! It's a real working machine and very easy to use even with my shoulder problems. I love to make new beds and gardens on our property with my mantis. Makes the job I love the most alot easier which is gardening of any type!!

Highly recommend this and the first Mantis to anyone who is lucky enough to buy one.

You will be amazed at the power and ease to use this thing has!!

I have spent years working in my garden and large backyard, always struggling and having an aching back for days.

One of my neighbors suggested I get this tiller, and now I am forever in her debt!

I love this one!

I have now tilled up some very hard earth (that was difficult to dig out with a shovel) around my house, along my front path, creating a new flower 'island', refreshed mulch around trees, etc. etc.

It only took about 10 minutes to get used to, and the tiller does all the work!

Speaking form a woman's point of view, the Mantis tiller is a gift from heaven. I can't control a big tiller, but like to do my own yard projects. The Mantis tiller helps me do just that. I can till my own garden, weed my perennial beds etc...

Don't let its small size fool you. It is a work horse! It won't till really deep, but will do most routine jobs for you.

I love this Mantis tiller!  I used to use my grandfather's old, heavy, bulky tiller and constantly had a backache after working with it.  The Mantis is very lightweight and easy to use.  I have edged, dug new beds, aerated and dethatched my lawn with this tiller.  It can do just about anything!

What makes this device unique is actually what makes you scratch your head at first.  When you're gardening, and trying to work with soil that needs enriching, the Mantis tiller lets you do it with a lot of fun.  It's easy to use, setting up and working backwards between rows (or over open ground).  It will till only as deep as the tines, but then again that is usually all you need to build rich soil and keep it in shape.

Most tillers you work go forward in motion, making this one different from the startup.  Is that a bad thing?  I don't think so because although the tines are going forward,...

a COUPLE YEARS AGO WE GOT AD ADVERTISEMENT IN THE MAIL FOR THE MANTIS TILLER.  WE HAVE A HUGE VEGETABLE GARDEN ( 40 FEET BY 40 FEET) AND WE HAD BEEN BREAKING OUR BACKS GETTING IS READY FOR THE SPRING PLANTING AS WELL AS KEEPING THE WEEDS AT BAY.  WE DECIDED TO GET THE MANTIS TILLER AND ARE WE GLAD WE DID.  THE TILLER IS SO EASY TO START AND USE WE WERE AMAZED.  IN THE SPRING WE TILL THE GARDEN AND MIX IN SOME FERTILIZER.  wITHIN AN HOUR WE HAVE THE WHOLE GARDEN TILLED AND READY.  THE TILLER MIXING UP THE SOIL AND FERTILIZER WHILE TILLING UP THE WEEDS AND GROWTH WE NORMALLY WOULD HAVE HAD...

I am an avid gardener, grow anything and everything from vegetables,fruits, and flowers. I originally bought the mantis tiller for my mom, but she ended up getting a larger tiller so I took the mantis. I must say the mantis didnt live up to my expectations. I was making a new flower bed on the side of my house and needed to till up some dreaded ferns. I am an average size woman and consider myself to be fit but it was all I could to hold onto the handles of the tiller. First you have to walk backwards in order for the tiller to work properly, it reminds me of a jumping bean the tiller would not...

 The Mantis is the best machine ever created for a woman.  It is so light and easy to start.  I use my mantis all the time, keep finding different projects for it.  It works great in the garden for going between rows, a lot better than any big tiller.  When planting, I always plant just far enough to fit the Mantis between.  It does a wonderful job tilling up the dirt.  The only downfall I would say of the Mantis is when you first till a new spot, you do get a lot of stuff wrapping around the tines and need to clean them quite a bit.

No gardener should be without this machine.
