This shampoo did not do anything special for me. It is a pretty basic shampoo that simply gets the job done. It removes oil quite well, but I have to use extra product, probably twice as much as usual because it does not lather up much. It enjoy the scent, but it is kind of hard to explain. It really does smell like something a horse/animals would be washed with though. It is a bit drying to my ends, but I can work with it if I use a nice conditioner with it. It makes my hair really shiny in sunlight. It gives my hair a slight lift and more bounce, which is nice when I am wearing my hair's natural texture. The waves in my hair look more pronounced. It is pretty gentle on my hair color and does not strip it too fast. It did not make my hair grow significantly faster than normal, which is what I was going for. My hair just grew the average amount it always does. I have used this on my dog and his coat felt great and looked really shiny! It helped with my dandruff a bit and kept it from coming back so strong.

This product is fantastic. I was a little skeptical about using it at first because my mom uses it on our pets, but the internet hype proved true. The first week or so was an adjustment time so my hair was a little greasy and stringy, but afterwards my hair was luscious and smooth. Over time i started having to shampoo less and less and am down to every five days without sign of oil. Best product ever.

I've been an Equestrian Director at two different barns. The one thing most female showing ridders have in common- long hair! It's hard not to get hair envy sometimes. One day as I was mucking stalls I asked one of the barn hands what shampoo she used to grow her hair out so fast- I mean, her hair grew FAST! So, she told me about Mane 'n Tail Shampoo. As soon as the barn was closed for the day I went out and bought it...Hair envy can drive a girl to do rash things. I religiously shampooed my hair with this product for almost three months (twice, sometimes three times a week). Yes my hair got clean. But, it also got dry and frizzy. Since I wasn't noticing any marked improvement in my hair length I finally called it quits. My hair just got to the point that it was unmanageable. When I first started using the shampoo I wasn't thrilled with the scent either. I couldn't pin point why but around month two I thrusted my palm to my forehead- I didn't like it because its a HORSE SHAMPOO. I wash my horses with this! Of course I don't want my hair to smell like a horse. Duh! Ill chalk that up to a blonde moment and some bias on my part. It is a big bottle so the shampoo does last you a very long time and you get your monies worth out of the product. Effectiveness I don't think the product ever claims to make your hair grow longer quicker so I really only have myself to blame for that misguidance but it did dry my hair out which lead to lots of frizz. Scent Again, Im bias. I work with horse, I love my horses a lot but, I don't want to smell like them.

This shampoo is by no means fancy. Do not expect the same quality you would get from a salon purchased shampoo, but if you are low on money, this shampoo will do the trick. It works very well and deep cleans your hair very well. Also, the scent is nice; it is not too overpowering. I like the scent a lot. Also, you get a fair amount of shampoo for the cost. I think you get more with this bottle of shampoo than you get with the more expensive shampoo. If you need a shampoo just to get through the hard times, this is a great shampoo to choose. If you do not expect too much, then you will not be disappointed. Effectiveness This shampoo is effective in the sense that it definitely cleans your hair thoroughly, but it is a basic shampoo with no frills. If you want to have a shampoo with the extras, spend the extra money to buy one, because Mane and Tail does not give those things. Scent The scent is nice and it sticks in your hair, keeping it smelling nice until you wash it again.

I like how to leaves my hair clean and takes the grease out without damaging or leaving my hair dry. It also leaves my hair more manageable to brush and style and leaves my hair very shiny and healthy looking and it has a light pleasant scent. It's also a fairly good shampoo at a cheap prices that you can find in multiple stores easily. Effectiveness I've used it lot and I can say that it lathered nicely on my hair and leaves it feeling clean as well it seems to give is some volume as well. It leaves my hair soft with no grease and doesn't make it feel dry and frizzy when it finishes drying and it's manageable to brush. It also seems to make my hair grow slightly faster than when I use other shampoos so that's a plus. Now I don't guarantee that it will be the same result I've had since everybody has different hair types but I hope they will get the same results. Scent The scent is a clean good smell that stays in my hair for about a day. It isn't a strong intrusive scent so it doesn't bother me and makes my hair smell freshly clean. It slightly resembles the scent from treesime shampoo.

Mane and tail shampoo. well I usually would pass this up in the hair care asile. I never thought it would work as good as my more expensive brand that advertises all the, suppose to be good for your hair, ingredents. But, a little birdy told me to give it a try so I did. the next time I washed my hair I used it. Well, it lathered up really good in my hair. My hair goes halfway down my back , and my other shampoo, I have to use almost a whole handful to get it all thru my hair. But with mane and tail, I don't use as near as much. It has a nice smell to it. And leaves a long lasting clean scent. once I got out of the shower and dried my hair. I was very surprised by how much more manageable my hair was. also a lot less frizz. you can defenitaly use this shampoo on more than just your horses. I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of their shampoo. Give it a try. Plus its one of the cheaper bottles on the shelf.

I started using Mane 'N Tail Shampoo on my horses and to be honest I forgot to bring my own shampoo to a horse show that was far away from my house and decided to try it. I already knew it works great on horses so I figured why not? Mane 'n Tail Shampoo is a great thick and creamy shampoo that you can really feel in your hair. I do find that I can't use it everyday because it makes my hair oily and greasy. If you use it every other day or ever few days it is great. I have long, thick, curly hair so I feel it really helps when my hair is feels dry or frizzy. You may also want to try it with the Mane 'N Tail Conditioner. Both bottles are larger than normal shampoos which is nice because it seems to last forever (which of course is a good thing!) The price is also very reasonable depending on where you shop. It is most certainly worth the money though. I reccommend this sampoo for people what have dry, frizzy hair.

This product is good if you want your hair to feel hydrated and soft after washing it. Effectiveness To get a good clean wash you probably would want to wash it twice. I personally leave in the conditioner after I wash it to have my curls defined. You might also want to pat dry or air dry so your hair will not get damaged. Scent There is no strong smell to it.

Main and tale shampoo. I started it a year ago after I heard someone say it made hair long and smooth and healthier. I had long hair already but it was broken, damaged and blah. I got the big bottle and still its over half full my mom and sister both used it also. It smells good to me to its not like a stinky awful smell its just a suddle smell. I didn't really notice my hair getting to much longer but i didnt use it for longer hair in the first place . it does make hair healthy and I really like that. I use to put heat on my hair daily sometimes twice a day, and after using this a few times its like I never used any heat on my hair it just really helped my hair become healthy. It doesn't make your hair dry or frizzy. It is very smooth and general. I would advise anyone looking or trying out new shampoos for damaged, broken, unhealthy hair to use this it really works. And you get a big bottle for the price. Its a great deal.

If you're looking to grow your hair out, this is a great shampoo! It freaked me out a bit at first that people actually use this for horses, but the quality of the shampoo is well-worth the price. You get a ton of shampoo at once too! It has only a few ingredients, makes your hair soft, and is actually great for stopping dandruff. I have dark, wavy, thick hair and it definitely didn't weigh my hair down at all. If you want your hair to grow REALLY quickly, use the conditioner with it. You get a ton of both and if you're like me, you need WAY more conditioner than you do shampoo. Overall, great shampoo! I would recommend it to any of my friends looking to grow their hair out. Effectiveness Again, it's great for strengthening your hair and that really makes your hair grow much faster. Scent The scent is pretty good but it's not as delightful as you might want it to be. If you're not interested in having a scented shampoo, this is great for you!
