I used this for a few months and it grew my hair a few inches. My hair was cut to chin length due to damage and it grew back rather quickly with continued use . The the cons about this product is that it still dries out my scalp and my hair. That isn't a good thing especially if you have dry hair to begin with. I already have dry hair and this product dried it out even more. If you want to grow your hair, it does help, but the dryness my hair felt afterwards was disappointing. Main N Tail is great to try and use, but then after a while it just is not the best shampoo. This is just my opinion based on the results I saw on my own hair after continued use. I'm sure they have other shampoos that can give the same results without the over dry scalp and hair. Vitamins B5 & E have properties that add to the hair growth process. Overall, this is not my favorite but it did help me achieve hair growth. Effectiveness It grew my hair but it made it very dry which is something I was not expecting Scent Scent is pleasant

So if you're in the market for a shampoo that does a heavy duty cleaning on your hair than this shampoo is the stuff for you! My hair would always be extremely ridiculously clean after using this product. It would leave it feeling super dry after I washed it so be sure to slather in loads of conditioner! The price on this product is fabulous. You get a TON of this stuff for really cheap. I bought my bottle around a year ago and I still have a good amount still. Effectiveness Cleans hair super well! Just be sure to use either Mane N Tail conditioner or another one of your choosing because it will make your hair dry after washing it out. If your hair is already dry this product might not be for you. If you have some dandruff though, this stuff will take care of it no problem! Scent I really was NOT expecting this product to smell really nice since well it is made for horses but it surpassed my expectations. It has a really nice clean scent to it. It's not floral, or sweet, but it's still very pleasant.

I originally saw this stuff in the hair store and my friend dared me to try it out. Even after the bet I still use it. One thing I really like about this product is the versatility. Like the directions state you can use this stuff on yourself as well as your dog. For this reason alone I keep two bottles at a time. It really gives like a nice deep clean. I have thick hair so when it comes to shampoos I try to look for something that can get all the way down in my scalp and this stuff does that and more. Effectiveness It really works at getting the dirt and stuff out of my dogs long coat. Another thing that I really like is that it doesn't seem to irritate Jake's (my puppy) skin or my scalp. Scent In my opinion the scent isn't too appealing but it's not a bad smell either. My puppy doesn't seem to mind the smell either as he doesn't whine or constantly sniff at his coat. It's also not a very strong sent so it doesn't bother me too much either.

Over the years, I have heard so many good things from my friends about Mane N Tail Deep Moisturizing Shampoo. I decided to take the plunge and try it for myself. I had very high hopes and was expecting to have shiny, smooth and healthy looking hair after using this shampoo. Well, I was not impressed with Mane N Tail Shampoo. This shampoo did not live up to my expectations. I have fine hair that tangles very easily. I thought that things could not get worse with my hair but I was wrong. After using this shampoo, my hair felt as if it had been stripped of all of it's healthy oils. It felt dry and damaged. My hair was also incredibly hard to get a comb through. My hair tangled so badly after just one use of this shampoo. I decided to give this shampoo the benefit of the doubt and tried it for the second time and had the same results. I decided to give my shampoo to a friend who had tried it and enjoyed it. Effectiveness This shampoo did not live up to my expectations. It left my hair feeling dry, damaged and very tangled. Scent This shampoo did not have an attractive scent at all.

I have had long hair my entire life. However, about two years I got a horrible haircut and this lady ruined my hair by trying to add layers. There was no fixing it. The only option for me was to completely cut the length off. I ended up with a bob. Needless to say, I cried for days. Then a friend told me to try this shampoo because it had helped her hair grow. I started using it daily and I started noticing a difference. It is not a miracle worker. You won't have long hair overnight. However, it does speed up the growing process. I wanted my hair long by my wedding and it got past my shoulders from using this shampoo. The moisturizing benefit is really great as well. It keeps your hair from getting too dry and brittle. I never thought I would use a horse shampoo on my hair but I did and it worked. I would use it again if I was trying to grow my hair long quickly. I recommend this for people trying to get length quicker than normal. Effectiveness It makes your hair grow quicker. Scent The scent is not bad at all.

My daughter is 17 years old and has very fine hair that easily tangles and does not grow very quickly. She asked me to buy this for her a few years ago because her friends recommended it. She has been using Mane and Tail shampoo ever since then. She says her hair is more manageable and it is growing a little more quickly than it did before using this product. It left her hair shiny and healthy looking. She loved it so much I decided to also give it a try. I wasn't real crazy about the smell which wasn't unbearably bad, but it wasn't great either. The shampoo itself lathered nicely and did a very good job. It left my hair soft, shiny and manageable. My comb went through my hair more easily and my hair felt very clean. My daughter and I both recommend this product to anyone wanting a fairly inexpensive shampoo that leaves your hair manageable and healthy looking and might even make your hair grow faster.

I first heard about this product from my friend, who recommended it to me for my curly hair. At first, I thought the whole idea of using horse shampoo was rather sketchy, but after reading so many wonderful reviews about it, I decided to give it a try. The first thing that struck me was the scent. It smells amazing, like candy! I also found that it was really clarifying. My scalp felt so clean after using it. It's also extremely moisturizing-it definitely does what it says! And at first, this was a good thing for me. For a while, I felt my hair getting thicker and stronger, and it always looked extremely shiny! However, I have really fine and weak hair, and I guess Mane N Tail (specifically the conditioner) started taking its toll on me. I guess it was just a little too moisturizing for my fine hair, because it started to weigh it down a bit and caused it to fall a little more. I only had this problem with the conditioner, though, because after I stopped using the conditioner, these issues lessened. I stopped using the shampoo soon after just to be safe, but I'm planning to return to it soon. For people with extremely dry or thick hair, please get this shampoo! It cleans well, smells great, and leaves your hair so soft and moisturized! For people with hair types like mine, I would advise you to use it with caution. It can be great, but don't use it too often.

As liquid shampoos go, this might seem like one of the weirder ones. Designed for horses? Um, ok, but let's give it a go anyway. And so I did and was pleasantly surprised. It's a bit thicker than I'd expect from most liquid shampoos, but a little goes a very long way which makes it more economical. It lathers well, even in hard water like I've got, and rinses easily leaving my hair soft and manageable. I could probably get away without using conditioner afterwards, it's that good at moisturising. My niece recommended this product to me, saying it helped her hair grow faster - a claim I was very sceptical about. I still don't believe it helps hair grow faster, hair can only grow so quickly after all, but the conditioning aspect of it does seem to make hair grow _nicer_ if that makes sense. It does seem to make my hair feel stronger and less prone to breaking, which is always a bonus. It's certainly easier to comb my long hair after using this.

I used the Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner many years ago when it was all the rave. I bought and used it about 4 times and stopped. It made my hair so sticky and tangled. I could barely get my comb though it after I washed it. The only reason I would recommend this product is for people who have thin hair and are looking to thicken it up. May also work better on people who have short hair. I do not recommend using it on long hair. The bottles are so big, too. Reasonably priced considering the amount you get from each bottle. Unfortunately, this did not give me the super soft hair I was looking for out of this product. I think they should have just kept this product on the stable shelf. It is best left for the horses. Human hair and horse hair are completely different. Effectiveness Hair feels sticky and knotty both wet and dry. Getting a comb through hair is very tough to do. Scent Not a bad scent, but also not a good scent either

This is a shampoo that lives up to it's name. It has been around for years, my Mom used to talk about it all the time, how people used it on their horses and that it helped to make your hair grow, so of course when I seen it I had to try it. What can I say? We love it, it does the job like any other shampoo, but without the harsh ingredients that most have. This is a shampoo that is affordable and a must in my household now. Effectiveness I love the way it lathers and cleans your hair, it helps condition your hair making it easy to manage and helps repair your hair from the harshness of blow drying and styling. The deep moisturizing in this shampoo really makes a difference in your hair, after using it for a few weeks my hair was healthier and more manageable than it had been in years. Scent The scent is kind if different than a lot of the shampoos that are out today. Mane N Tale doesn't have that loud perfume smell that some have. It is just a scent that smells clean.
