At first I was sceptical about using a product made for horses. But, horses have hair too and a friend raved about the product so I tried it. I tried the deep moisturizing conditioner and I liked it. My hair felt soft and smooth afterwards. I think it did help with the damage I have from blow drying and flat ironing my hair. I don't use it all the time, instead I rotate it with another conditioner. This is what their web site said about the product- "Fortified with natural proteins and vitamins to strengthen and nourish hair from root to tip for increased elasticity, providing healthy, manageable, soft, silky hair". I agree, it works as advertised. My only complaint is that wheat is one of its ingredients, but if you don't have Celiac that wouldn't be a problem.

This conditioner has nourished my hair back to great health! It's AMAZING! It smells pretty good too. Not great, but not bad at all. I buy the shampoo too! I have tried countless combinations of cheap and expensive shampoos and conditioners, and the main and tail have blown me away! My hair is so shiney and soft now! It seems to be making it grow a bit more quickly too! Huge plus! That's what I originally bought it for! It's a great price, especially for such performance! I went to a really nice, expensive salon the other day, and the girl that did my hair told me that my hair seemed really healthy and she could tell that I was using really great hair products! She said you can tell when someone is using Pantene, Herbal essences, Garnier fructis, or even some of the more expensive ones! That they put gunk on your hair that you cannot see (some people get it really bad and you can see!) but that a stylist can see that underneath it is not healthy! So go buy it! And the shampoo! You will not regret it! :)

Bought this off amazon about a week ago and have used it twice. I alternate with the mane n tail regular conditioner to extend the life of the deep conditioner due to small size of bottle. I LOVE the deep conditioner and think it's a great idea to use it every couple of days to help rejuvenate treated/styled hair. Really leaves your hair feeling stronger and thicker. Think this a great product for the money and will continue to use for a very long time! Cleans nicely without leaving hair feel weighed down or greasy (I have shoulder length hair with medium thickness.) Only downside is the sizing is rather small, and I cannot buy this product in stores so have to order it online and buy enough to get free shipping.

I have very long hair (I'm 5'7" and it goes to my waist).  It is dyed about every 6 weeks with mostly a root touch up.  I had heard great things about the 'mane and tail' duo so I gave them a try.  My hair was coarse and dry under those treatments.  It did indeed feel like a horses tail.  Smelled good, though.

I really wanted to love the Mane N Tail Deep Moisturizer Conditioner. It's a fun sounding product, and you would think that anything that could be moisturizing to a horse's mane would be really moisturizing to human hair. Well, not really. The conditioner has a very thick consistency to it, and it smells nice. It also feels thick against the hair, but there's no sense of moisturzing, more that it is a thick coating to the hair.I have tried using it as directed and also leaving it on longer, but in all cases I haven't really ended up with smoother or more manageable hair. I felt more like I hadn't used a conditioner at all. The price is reasonable enough that it won't hurt too much to give it a try. If you don't need too much conditioning then this might be a good alternative for you, especially if you also used a deeper conditioner on some days. If you have damaged hair or really dry hair, I don't think this would work well for you.

I have relaxed hair and I go to the gym 6 days a week and it damaging to my hair. I started using  Mane N Tail Deep Moisturzing conditioner because my hair started falling out. In the begining, I did not notice a change but after a month of using it every weekend. I notice my hair was little stronger. It was not as dry as it was before. When I rinse my hair after working out it did not come out on the comb. After two months my hair was a lot stronger and healty. This conditioner has Alcohol and will dry your out it you use it everyday. So do not recommond it for women who wash their hair everyday.
