Most HelpfulTropical drinks are often quite refreshing and they really hit the spot on a hot summer day. These types of drinks are generally sweet and they are usually made with both sweet ingredients and sweet liquors too, thereby magnifying the sugar content by several times. There are a few brands of sweet liquors...

Put the lime in the coconut, drink 'em both up.
Imagine this, laying on the beach slathered in cocoa butter. That's pretty much the scent you get when you first pour Malibu Rum Coconut 42 Proof. It is a clear alcoholic spirit that tastes just as good on the rocks as it does mixed in a drink.
The price of the Malibu Rum Coconut 42 Proof is so very reasonable and the flavor of this spirit is clean and crisp without bitterness or an after taste. Here is the funny thing, I don't even really like coconut flavor or lotions. Neither the aroma...
review »Malibu Rum is oh so smooth. You can mix it into a variety of juices which will give you a colada result. I recommend trying a variety of juices since Malibu is somewhat on the sweet side. You can also purchase Pina Colada mix, add Malibu Rum and lots of ice. Use the crush mode on your blender and mix it to your desired thickness...so good. But again, I would recommend a lot of ice to lower the sweetness.
My personal favorite, (this may sound gross) is to mix Malibu Rum with plain seltzer over ice in a tall glass. It may not sound good, but it really refreshing, especially in the summer....
review »This was my first brand of coconut rum, and years later it's still one of my favorites. The flavor is smooth and sweet, and very easy on the pallet. I usually like to mix with a little pineapple juice and cranberry juice - Bay Breezes are great for summer!
Malibu coconut rum is delicious. It's especially good in pina colados or anything with mango. Try it with pineapple juice as well. I haven't tried it in a rum and coke but have heard that's really good too. I don't think the price is too bad, at least not in this area. It's got a nice, robust, coconut flavor.
I like trying new drinks and often mix them at home for myself or friends. You seem to get a lot of rum for your buck with this brand. Even my sister who is not much of a drinker at all enjoys this rum.
Very tropical, fruity and refreshing. I recommend this to anyone looking...
review »Malibu Rum is awesome. Add it to pineapple juice to transport yourself instantly to a beautiful sunny beach with cool white sand.
There is no need for messy mixing of pina colodas with canned coconut milk that never mixes well no matter how hard you shake the can before you open it. Simply pour delicious Malibu Rum over ice, add pineapple juice and stir. Instant pina colada. If you prefer your pina coladas frozen or slushy; pour the pineapple juice and wonderful Malibu Rum over ice in a blender and blend to a frothy, icy, or slushy consistency.
