Makeupalley.com is a dream come true for any girl who loves cosmetics, beauty products or fashion...so basically ALL women! Makeupalley.com is basically an online mecca of all things makeup, beauty and overall GIRLY. Makeupalley.com has blogs, product reviews and lots of discussion boards, all in the name of beauty. You can find product reviews that I find to be extremely helpful. It's always nice to search for product reviews before splurging on a $50 cosmetic item. I was also just reading one of the discussion boards about fall sweaters and which brand has the best quality to last more than one season, which is awesome and extremely helpful, as no one likes to waste money on items that won't last. This website really does have it all and it's a great one-stop shop for lots of girly topics. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because at first the website can be a little tricky to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. I think the website could use little help in terms of its layout, but otherwise the content is spot on!

I'm usually pretty open to which review website I use to determine whether or not I buy a product, but recently, I've found myself using this one a lot. The one thing I really like is the fact they give you a little something about the reviewer. So, if a teenager with poreless skin said a product was good, a middle aged lady won't go out and buy it only to find out it emphasizes every wrinkle. I also like how the reviewers can go back and add something to their review if something has changed. Overall, I think this website is a really good tool whenever I'm deciding whether or not I want to buy a product. Most of the time, my personal opinion is reflected by the reviews on makeupalley so I think it's pretty accurate (at least for me, my skin type and my opinion). I only wish nonmembers could see more than one page of reviews. That was my only complaint before I became a member myself. As far as whether or not you should join, it depends how much insight you want on products before you buy them. Personally, I want a lot, so joining was a good decision for me.

I first learned of this site on the message boards from one of the monthly make up subscription sites. A lot of people use the site to swap samples they receive but that they won't use. I was intrigued to see what the site was all about so I visited and I was hooked. Even though I'm in my 30s, I'm sort of a make up newbie, so this site is extremely helpful (and addictive!). There are very active message boards with topics all over the place. Everything from people posting reviews of products to asking questions about new items and even how to apply certain products. I've asked questions about products I was interested in trying and have gotten wonderful and helpful responses that make my decisions easier. In addition to the boards, there is a specific review secion as well where individual products are reviewed by multiple users. I like that when you view a specific product and the reviews, it gives you similar products and the best of products for that category on the side menu. Overall a great way to do research when you are looking to try new makeup products. Ease of Use The down side to this site is that it can be hard to sort through posts, especially on the message boards. The search function does work quite well, though.

I had actually forgotten about MakeupAlley.com until I just saw it listed on here. I used to LOVE this website! It's a one stop place for reviews on any cosmetic product you can think of! There aren't just reviews, but also nice tips and tricks from the other users. I can't believe I forgot about this website. It's excellent! Instead of going out and buying the newest "big thing" in the cosmetic world, you can wait a little bit and see what other people have to say about the product. It's a nice way to not waste $20 on a bad quality beauty product! It's also nice if you are looking for a product for a specific skin type of something like that. For example: if you are looking for a liquid foundation for dry skin. You can see if the product worked for other users. Honestly, it's like the viewpoints.com of the cosmetic world. There are also tips and tricks around the website that other users submit. Tips for dry skin or oily skin. Products that can be used on the face and lips. I use makeupalley.com practically every single day. I am so glad that this website exists. It really does have honest and blunt reviews from real people on almost any makeup or beauty item that you can think of. From skincare items to cosmetics, hair care, perfumes and more, you name it and you can find information on it on their site. I never buy any product without reading reviews about it on there first. The reviews have also never let me down and the majority of them are very accurate to the item. There is also a board where you can post different questions and get advice or answers that is neat. They allow you to swap unwanted items with other members on the website too, which is a great idea and a neat way to share things with other people instead of throwing away items that you no longer care for. All in all, this is a very helpful site that it worth checking out.

I buy tons of make up and always like to do research before purchasing. Makeup Alley is my favorite website for checking make up reviews. Although there are many makeup review websites Makeup Alley is my go to for reviews due to a number of reasons. For one, Makeup Alley has reviews for almost every makeup or skincare product, all in one place. This prevents me from having to look at a different website for each product. I can simply search for the product on Makeup Alley and read all my reviews there. Also, the content of the reviews on Makeup Alley are great. They are usually very detailed and provide the prospective of different types of individuals. The reviews often indicate the age range, skin tone, skin type, etc so you can read reviews closely matched to your own age or skin. Reviewers also often post photos which are helpful as well. The boards are also a great resource to ask and answer questions related to makeup and skincare. The one thing I don't love about Makeup Alley is that you have to be a user to look at much of the content. This might turn away some viewers who don't want to join.

I have been a member on makeupalley for a long time now. I learn about so many products that I would otherwise not have known about! One of makeupalley's greatest features are its extensive list of product reviews. If there is a beauty product out there, there is a review of it on makeupalley. It is a great way to get unbiased reviews from real people. They are also great about sharing any tips and ticks they have with a product in their reviews. Another great feature is the swapping! Do you have a bunch of unused (or slightly used) products that you are not using? Why not swap them for something you will use? You make a wishlist of items you are looking for and post your swap list and then members communicate back and fourth and arrange swaps. It is so much fun! They also offer boards, which I do not use a lot but is a great way to communicate with other people who share the same passion!

I am a cosmetics addict! I LOVE anything makeup related, so I was super excited to find Makeup alley! A friend of mine uses the sight and said I should check it out, so I did. What I love the most about the site is that you can list and trade make up and other beauty products with other people. Sometimes you end up with a color you didn't mean to buy or whatever and cant exchange it (this happens to me a lot). I really like how easy it is to list things on the site, and I like that I feel safe in the swapping process. I would say to be a little careful when swapping used makeup, as I did end up with an eye shadow that seemed VERY used and VERY old. However, the customer service at the site gave me my credit back for it after I called. All in all I would say this is a pretty cool site and I intend on staying there! I should also mention that you can find great review of other products, that can be very helpful before you buy something that is new on the market.

I recently joined Makeup Alley after reading some reviews on it. They have lots of articles etc.. but you can also Swap makeup, Shampoo etc with others. You list items you have to trade and then search for other who maybe looking to trade with you. Well I listed a ton of nice make up all new never opened to see if anyone wanted to trade I emailed some ladies, 3 different ladies as a matter of fact and never heard from a single one. I mean I have MAC, Mark,Avon,Lorac Smashbox and so on not one reply. I was really disappointed. I removed my items from their listing. But you need to be careful there are people swapping makeup that is used and for myself I wouldn't want used makeup. Even if you clean with alcohol. You get tokens when you and someone have made a swap and are satisfied they (person you trade with) gives you a Token (like a good feedback point) and you do the same. I figure since I had no Tokens people didn't want to deal with me. Other than that it's great for reviews.

**The Makeup Alley website** is a real oasis for those looking for a huge variety of  cosmetic, skincare, fashion (and more) reviews. There are tons of reviews on just about any beauty product you'd want an opinion on.  It's a fun site too, you get to learn about a lot of beauty secrets like aspirin masks for troubled skin and of all things (yuck) MONISTAT as a skin primer, I know the thought is rather gross but, you'll find all kinds of "double-duty" products like that on the site.  Members share photos of their makeup stash giving us all a peek into the wonderful world of makeup and it's do's & dont's. If you need to know if spending $30.00 on that "currently all-the-rage" vibrating, lengthening, separating, volumizing mascara is going to be worth it, wait up and give this site a try, you'll get oodles of suggestions for something that may be even better and save you a lot of dough in the process. A great way to learn all about a cosmetic item before you buy it.
