I do a whole lot of baking and use measuring cups all the time. So my husband bought me the Mainstays Progressive International 19-Piece Measuring Cup and Spoon Set (my husband spoils me). This is a wonderful set to have and would be a huge asset to any kitchen. It comes in various colors and contains everything that you would ever need, standard or metric. In most sets, the smallest cup size you get is one quarter cup and the largest is one cup. With this set you can measure one eighth cup (which is great if you want to half a recipe) and and two cups (which is great for those ingredients where you need larger amounts). They have large handles which is nice. They are very inexpensive and great quality. I bought a second set to keep with our camping gear so I wouldn't have to drag my every day set along with us when we go camping. They are very easy to clean (and yes, they are dishwasher safe). This is just a wonderful basic every day set that is very useful to have!

A definitive measuring cup set, this has all the standard measurements and the odd ones like 1 3/4 cup. The larger ones may not be that useful, but in a pinch can be used as small mixing bowls. The small ones like 1/32 tsp are relatively useless as measurements, but make decent stirring spoons. One thing I don't like is that the spoons larger than 1 tsp have deep bowls, and it's hard to scoop sticky ingredients out of - honey for example. I can't think of a good way to compare accuracy other than comparing to my last measuring set, but the volumes in these match 2 other sets, so it's good enough for me. The plastic is relatively sturdy, although seems a bit brittle. After 2 months of usage I haven't broken one yet, but the handle connection seems like it's a weak point. Dishwasher safe provided you don't use the heat cycle. They stack fairly easily, although not perfectly, with the cups and spoons forming two separate piles. Overall I'm very glad with this set, and I'd definitely recommend it as a starter set baking.

***After a female friend of mine purchased a set of these measuring cups and spoons i had to go and buy a set just to find out if they were as good as she raved about them being and i must say that they are everything that she claimed them to be and then some ... Not only are they affordable in price . They do not take up very much space in my drawers either . I like the colors of them as well and they are very durable and will with stand going thru my dishwasher as well . I liked my set so much that i went and bought a set for all of the women in my family as xmas gifts ! The only thing that is missing from this set of measuring cups is the 1 1/4 cup which would be nice but with as much mixing as i do i can do with out it and be just fine . The measuring cups come in the following measurements 1/8, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 1, 1-1/2, 1-3/4, and 2 cups And the spoons come in the following Measurements 1/32 tsp, 1/16 tsp, 1/8 tsp, 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 2 tsp, 1/2 Tbls, and 1 Tbls .... I like the large handles on these because they are easier to keep ahold of and the fact that they are durable makes them a must buy for anyone who is a betty crocker in the kitchen. I Wish that they came in more colors though other than the red,gray and white . I Would recommend these to anyone !! ***

The cup and spoon set is very easy to handle, hold and wash. The colors I disliked and the plastic doesn't fit in my kitchen. The price / quality relationship is good and no-one should have difficulties affording the set.

Set is "a lot for your money" but too many pieces.. I will never use the 1/32 or 1/16 spoons. However, the large cups with more than 1 cup are more than helpful because you always have to measure out at least a cup and some change. The different colors don't appeal to me, but could be useful for telling the similiar sizes apart. They hang beautifully but do not stack neatly together. The pieces take up too much room in the drawer but I guess, all in all, worth the small amount you pay for the entire set. The measurements are mL and cups so you don't have to complete a conversion. Overall, great product from MainStay.

I love this progressive GT-3520 International 19-piece measuring cup and spoon set. Its the best measuring set i've ever seen. There are so many sizes and the cups all stack together and the spoons all hook together to stay in one place so you never lose them which I tend to do. When I got this set I threw out all my other sets. I even bought a few sets to give to my friends for Christmas that love to cook. They are also very easy to clean and the colors are pretty, too. Buy this set, it's worth every penny. The price is great and you will always have the right measurements for all your cooking needs. Love, love this product..You will, too.

Recently I started to bake a lot, I don't know why. I have baked a cake, cheesecake, pies and much more! But earlier I had tough time to measure my ingredients using regular spoons, maybe because I am not good at measuring properly. So just recently, I decided to buy myself a set of measuring cup and spoons. I bought these because these were cheap. Yeah, I love to save money. I recently baked a cake, doing everything from scratch because cake mixes aren't really my favorite because they seem a little uncooked at times, maybe too moist. Anyway, when I made my latest cake from scratch, I used this set to help me with measuring my ingredients. Fortunately my cake turned out to be just like the cake I wanted to make! Measurements were perfect! So from now on, I will use this set for any ingredient measurement I ever need for any recipe. This set is fabulous, easy to handle, even kid-friendly. It is also easy to store, not much of an hassle. I love it!
