Looks very pretty at first

Comments about Mainstays 7 Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set:

I bought this cookware simply because I thought it was pretty and shiny. I would never buy stainless steel cookware again. Food stuck to this cookware very easy and it was hard to clean. After about a month every pan started changing colors and it looked awful. I threw it away because it became practically useless.

Mainstays is a good cookware set thats affordable

Comments about Mainstays 7 Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set:

If you are looking for cheap but sturdy cookware, the Mainstays 7 piece cookware set is the way to go! It is all stainless steel cookware with glass lids. It comes with a 4 quart dutch oven, 2 quart saucepan, 1 quart saucepan and an 8 inch saute pan, and the 3 glass lids. The handles of the lids stay cool to the touch, even with the burner on high. They do tend to heat up fast, and things have a tendency to stick so make sure to keep a close watch and stir things often. I've had mine for several years and they have a few dings and scratches over time but have been durable and held up to every day use as well as I expected them too. The dutch oven is the perfect size for making chili or soup. We use the 2 quart sauce pan for sauces, and the 1 quart is a good size for steaming vegetables. The saute pan is also a good size, not too big to fit on most burners. This would make a great starter set for someone just moving out for the first time or newlyweds.
