This place has it all! Great food, great service, and great entertainment. My kids and parents all enjoyed it. And it isn't easy to find a place for all generations to enjoy. The food is really good, and some dishes are prepared tableside for extra entertainment value. They have a nice and exotic selection... review »

It was fun and loud. it was an older group of people when I went. not many familes. I am a resident for 10 years and i have always wanted to go. The dancers were great. everything is so exspensive and the food well it could be better. well went there for a birthday dinner.

"Escape to one of the most unique dining and entertainment places in all of South Florida. Since 1956, it has captivated people with its warmth and magical aura. The Mai-Kai authentically recreates a Polynesian Village, complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof, and a wooden plank bridge entrance."

An incredible dining experience for those with a flair for the dramatic. From the time you pull into the complimentary valet until you leave after dinner, you are immersed in an authentic Polynesian paradise, surrounded by beautiful gardens and waterfalls, bright Polynesian decorations, delicious food...

Not a place I would consider going to all the time, but is great to take your visiting guests as it is the perfect "tourist attraction"! I've been there on several occasions, and it is always exciting and entertaining for the whole group. While the food is very good, it is definitely not worth the price! Show is great, very talented people! If you're looking for a fun night out for yourself, there are other places to consider. If you are looking to entertain guests, this is the place to go!

Over-priced, poorly run, rude staff, and food is just ok.  We visited the Mai Kai while in Ft. Lauderdale area for the Thanksgiving holiday.  It took 90 minutes to get our main course.  Additionally, the food sat on the serving tray for 7 minutes before it was actually delivered to our table and it was cold!  We have gone to this restaurant for several years now and after the last two experiences, we will not be returning.

If you've never been to the Mai-Kai, you're cheating yourself of one of the most unique dining experiences to be had in North America.  Go now, while this pre-Disney piece of roadside Floridiana is still around to appreciate.  75 delicious entrees; 50 incomparable cocktails; exotic decor; a Polynesian floor show, vintage Tiki decor and gorgeous wahines make Hawaii practically irrelevant.
