Magnum Countryside Fireplace —

I was thrilled when I found the Magnum Countryside Fireplace. I had been looking for a pellet/corn burner that hopefully wasn't real smokey. I hadĀ four requirements.

1. It couldn't be real smokey. My son and I have asthma.

2. That it burn more that just corn or pellets. The Magnum burns several biofuels.

3. It needed to be easy to light andĀ burn.

4. Heat my whole house.

It is very easy to light and most days it takes all day to burn a 50# bag of fuel. The hopper holds one bag. Last year it cost us $4000 to heat our 2000sq ft home with propane. They tell us we will use 4-5 pallets of fuel at a cost of about $1000. Normally we would get our first fill of propane about now at approx. $1000. Instead we bought a pallet of wood pellets at $185. Big difference in cost. The first time we burned our home got up to 80 degrees before we knew it. Last year during the day we kept the temp at 62 and at night at 65. It is so nice to be warm.
