Paid $49 on sale for this combo product and couldn't be happier.  Best of all, it will play dvd, dvd+r, dvd-r recordings.  So convenient and easy to hook up.  Both vcr and dvd work on the same channel unlike some combos that use one channel for the vcr another input for the dvd.  Fits nicely into frame beneath tv stand unit.  We are huge video watchers and consider this product better than our expensive Toshiba model.
