My oldest son got a new guitar with some DVD lessons. He likes to watch those DVDs and practice and repeat different lessons and it was obvious that he needed another place to do it exept our livingroom with the only DVD player we had. And moving the big DVD player around the house got very unpractical so we decided to look for a simple player to use on a small TV on his room.

This unit was the second cheapest in our local Walmart and we decided to buy it for about $30 which is not a bad price if you ask my opinion!

It is very light and small unit and setting it up is a snap. You really cannot mess it up, just two cables to screw in with color coordinating hints. I liked that, I hate any complicated installations!

The cheapest player had the top open case like CD players and this one holds the DVD (or your CD!) inside so it looked less flimsy for the extra $5. We've used ours for about a month now without a problem. I also heard that my kids friends have this exact same DVD player in their own TV and they are happy with it also.

The player comes with a remote and the batteries are included, another plus for a cheap version, often you have to buy your own batteries separetely.  Remote is easy to operate and my son can pause and return to repeat his guitar lesson over and over. My son is ten and he learned all the ins and outs about this DVD player very quickly.

You can even zoom the picture out for better detail if you want to, another feature my kids like!

I don't know too much about picture quality comparison but nobody in our household has been complaining about it, it seems as good as it should be for a basic user. So if you are looking for a little DVD player in budget price this should meet your needs nicely!

I'm thinking that if my kids will break it one day it was not too costly to start up with. So far it thankfully has been working without a problem. I enjoy any simple gadgets that you can just plug in and turn on without too complicated set up instructions. And this one is one of those!

There is an option to even hook it up for the older TV with only antenna jack if you get an RF modulator which is not included.

You will get one year limited warranty for the parts and 90 labor warranty for free according to the owner's manual.

If you have any problems or questions you can call the manufacturer's toll free number 1-800-605-8610 for customer service or log on http:/www.funai-corp.com for additional information.
