MagicJack VOIP Service Review Summary
For around $30.00 a year, our reviewers are raving about MagicJack VOIP service. Explains one reviewer “honestly, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to pay only $30 a year for phone service, and you can make as many calls as you want”. Reviewers also liked the fact that voice messages are e-mailed to them as well and that they can listen to them from their PC. Our members say that MajicJack has an easy setup that allows you to simply plug it in, follow a few instructions and you’re off. Worried about losing your old phone number? Don’t be, you can keep it, say our reviewers. Members have reported that the volume can, at times, be a little low, while others have heard a buzzing sound.

If you've thought about getting rid of your landline service because of high phone bills, magicJack may be for you. For $39.99, you will receive the magicJack unit, which is about the size of a pack of Tic Tac's. It comes in pink or blue, and includes a year of calls with purchase. Calls are only…

My husband and I saw a review of this on our local news and thought "Wow, we could get rid of our existing land line all together and save a ton of money!" So, we ordered it...They advertise that you can try if for 30 days and only then, if you love it, will they bill you...well, 2 days after…

I had TWO problems hooking up magic jack, ONE was it is NOT compatible with Music Match Jukebox player (which i had on my system) and it wouldn't go through my firewall, those were my two installation problems. Once i deleted Music Match jukebox and opened up my firewall, it was as simple and plug and play and i was up and running in NO time. I took the two year plan of $30 for each YEAR and i am able to make international calls through my computer using a regular cordless phone. If this company goes bankrupt tomorrow, i still would have got my money out of this system. — I…

Audio is not alway clear, canot always make a connection, and do not recieve all voice mails. I think part of the problem might be when your PC is doinig a virus scan and ETC. I have DSL , maybe cable or fiber optic may work better. —…

I have seen this all over the internet and it seemed like it was worth trying, especially with a 30 free trial. However, it just didn't work. First of all, it does not work unless the computer is on. That means your computer must be up and running 24 hours a day to have phone service. If the power goes out, no emergency phone. Maybe this is ok if you have good cell service. The big problem though is that even after upgrading my dsl service twice until I was at 1.5 meg service, I still could not get good call quality. It was broken up to the…

I ordered the MajicJack after seening it on my local news. At first it would cut in and out, I was disappointed, but later I found out it wasn't the VOIP. Not to my suprise it was my provider. I have DSL through Windstream ( the company that took over Sprint in my area). I have nothing but trouble with their phone and DSL service since the change. But back to MajicJack it is great and how can you beat 19.99 a year, it's a deal even if it does have a few snags. Also there were no numbers in North Carolina, but that was easily fixed by signing up with GrandCentral.com. I agree I…

I was a little sceptical at first, I mean, $20 for a whole year of phone service, voice mail, caller ID. It was easy to install and best of all, it works. For less than $2 a month, I got a dial tone, and a phone number. — But, the deciding factor to order it, for me was, the 30 day free trial. My credit card was not billed for 30 days. — A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT!!!!!!!!!! — You can dial from a phone or with speakers or headphones and a microphone, you can…

Well, late nights are good for viewing infomercials. When I first seen the commercial, yes, I was skeptic =) — — I finally broke down and did buy it!! Wow, for less than 20 bucks all year, to make all the phone calls (local/long distance) we need. Is unreal. — — No bulky special equipment, no special telephone, just a regular pc! Plug it in and your ready to go! IT IS really that simple. — — Im a father and happy to say I have MY OWN line now :) My wife has hers and the girls have THEIRs. — — —…

I love it. It's not perfect, but what phone service is? — Cable and VOIP are out during Internet interruptions also. — I'm moving to Canada soon and will be able to keep my U.S. number. Friends who haven't figured it out are able to call without the international long distance. — Sound Quality is as good as any phone service I've tried. — I rated this a 4 star, but the most I would rate any phone service out there now is a 4 Star. — I recommend it to anyone. —…

The only problem I had was that somehow my audio device was changed to Modem #0 line playback. I had to change it back to my C-media wave device. I could not listen to online music and videos without that. The magicjack person I emailed was friendly but clueless. I contacted Pandora also and they were clueless as well. I was able to figure it out by just playing around with my audio settings in the control panel. — — The magicjack does work well and I am happy with it at this point.…

Watch your Credit Card real careful with this company. First they charged me 3 times for one jack, and then deny they did it. Niether the Bank nor Credit Card co. can stop the charges as no phone number is connected to Magicjack. I say...Beware. They are a rip off. The product is fine, the company is, on the other hand, not honest at…

I really wanted this one to work but for me it keep slowing my computer down. If I shut it off it would stop everything and turn itself back on. The phone service is fine except I did not like having a phone number 100 miles away but will free long distance on most cell and voip plans I guess that is really only a minor inconvinence. I had to unplug it I will stay with Vonage for…
