After searching for weeks and months on end for an easy to use appliance to make my daughter's homemade baby food purees, I realized that the Magic Bullet was a great choice. The Magic Bullet comes with a variety of parts, such as a few small cups to puree foods in, and a few cups with handles to make smoothies and frozen coffee drinks (which I love!) in. I haven't really seen the use of the colored rims, but I guess if you have multiple people drinking the drinks, it helps identify them! The cross blade seems to work the best for foods that are steamed and ready to be pureed. I do wish there was some kind of speed control on the Bullet, but I just start and stop it when I need to. The Bullet also comes with 2 sealing lids, which help me store my purees. Overall, a great appliance!

I recieved the Magic Bullet for Christmas..I had been watching the commercial and made the comment "I got to have one of those !" I was being faseshious (sp) but my family took it seriously and the next thing I know I have one! It is a nice kit that comes with a cookbook and the all the fun acceseries..of course when I use them doesn't look like on TV ! I also can't seem to do anything but puree!! The only good thing I can do with it is make smoothies..which are great!! Aslo make great summer time Margaritas. I am also able to make a puree dinner for a grand father who is on a purree diet..puree spagetti may have looked funky..but the taste was great ! I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes..after i figure out how to use the blades correctly to get the desired outcomes ! It is also compact enough to store and easy to clean

broke after awhile

I loved to use this to make banana smoothies. I would put the frozen bananas with a little bit of milk into the blender and then it made the perfect smoothie. It was not hard to clean either, because the blades are on the top section and then the cup comes off. The cup that came off of the blades was convenient, because then I could just eat whatever I made right out of it. After awhile, though, the blades broke when I was blending my frozen bananas. I did not think that this lasted long enough and was very disappointed. If you are not blending hard or frozen things, then this is a great blender. As long as you have enough liquids in it, it works great. There are also some caps that go with it that you can use to save it.

Oh, oh, oh it's Magic you know...

I got the magic bullet a long time ago, before 2007.  I think it's great! It chops ice and purees stuff.  I have used it regularly since first purchasing it.  I will say that the little nubs on the cups that need to slip into slots on the base in order to turn it on sometimes break, creating a problem.  I was able to use it still by using a butter knife to press down on the slot while holding the cup in place.  It comes with a few cups so I did switch to a newer cup that still had it's nubs but I wanted you to be aware that this can and does happen.  Still the base is rugged and put up with some rough use.  It's kind of expensive but it is worth it.  I...

Convenient, but it doesn't replace your blender

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

The set includes a little booklet with several recipes, which is helpful because it gives you the measurements that fit into the small cups.

The Magic Bullet works well for individual drinks/smoothies or small portions of soups. Basically, if you want a few ingredients mixed together and blended finely, it works ok. I also tried to make salsa using a recipe from the book. It works to "chop" the tomatoes (more like smashes them up into smaller parts), but it couldn't chop the onion or peppers, so you still have to cut those up yourself. The blades don't seem sharp enough, and the motor doesn't seem powerful enough to finely chop harder foods such as onion and peppers. The recipes include ins...

I bought the Magic Bullet specifically to make baby food for my first child.  I ended up using it for much more than that.  It was super easy to throw fruits and veggies in with a little water and blend.  I blended a little longer for "stage 1" food with no lumps and a little less for "stage 3".  Then, I poured them into ice cube trays (I bought some with lids) and froze.  I blended just about every fruit or vegetable you can possibly imagine in this blender and have not had any problems at all.  I've even used ice on quite a few occasions... loud, but no issues otherwise.  I love the cups that this blender comes with.  I make smoothies and it is easy to make everyone their very own custom smoothie without a lot of work.  Clean-up could NOT be easier.  I have had a few leaky issues while blending, but nothing major.  I just fix the clear, rubber lining on the inside or use another (it came with about 6 extras).

First, the Magic Bullet is great for a lot of things!  The main thing we use it for is making smoothies.  My husband makes a smoothie for himself almost every day, and this makes a perfect one-serving size.  It does wonders handling the fruit, and even ice.  I would call it the perfect smoothie maker!  My husband has also made mousse, homemade tomato soup, and other things with great success!  However, I have also tried using this little gadget for other things.  I tried using it to chop onions (which I HATE doing!), and it made onion pulp!  This was not quite what I was going for.  So, for chopping vegetables, I would recommend a different gadget, or a plain old knife.  Experiment with the Magic Bullet- it is very convenient and can be very helpful for certain things!

I got the Magic Bullet after seeing the infomercial for years this past spring.  My main motivation was that I wanted a compact product that would help me make homemade baby food/purees for my infant son.  I was pleased to discover that it worked incredibly well the first time I used it.  I saved so much money making batches of baby food with the Magic Bullet compared to buying the store bought jars.  My son even seemed to like my homemade food better than the store bought.  I think it was because I could control the texture of the food and my homemade baby food was not as "watered down" as the store bought.

In addition to being easy to use, the Magic Bullet i...

I BOUGHT THIS FOR FASTER PREPARATION OF MEALS AND FOR MAKING SMOOTHIES AND SHAKES. I USE THE THING PRACTICALLY EVERYDAY, AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE A DREAM COME TRUE. I'VE FOUND THAT IT'S EASY TO TURN ON, EASY TO USE, AND EASY TO CLEAN! ITS GREAT FOR MAKING THINGS FOR ONE PERSON OR TWO RATHER THAN HAVING TO GET OUT A HUGE BLENDER! I HAVE FOUND, THOUGH, THAT YOU NEED TO CLEAN THE BLADES RIGHT AWAY. OTHERWISE, THE RESIDUE GETS STUCK UNDER THE PLASTIC RING AND IT'S HARD TO CLEAN OUT. ALSO, THE FRUIT THAT YOU PUT INTO IT, IF FROZEN, DOES NOT CHOP UP VERY WELL. OTHER THAN THAT, I REALLY HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT.  IT IS A NICE TIME SAVER, SMALL AND COMPACT, AND WITH A COUPON IT WAS A REASONABLE PRICE. I DEFINITELY HAVE GOTTEN MY MONEY'S WORTH OUT OF IT AND I THINK YOU WOULD ENJOY IT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING QUICK AND EASY. BUT MAKE SURE CAN FIND IT AT A GOOD PRICE. **YOU MAY BE ABLE TO FIND A COUPON AND GET IT AT A REALLY REASONAVBLE PRICE!**

Magic Bullet Blender, Works great on liquid items!

Magic Bullet Blender

My sister bought me this Magic Bullet Blender about four years ago for Christmas. I saw this on infomercials and really liked it. The infomercials show all kinds of things you can do with it. I don't really see how they are making some of the things. I know you can put the cups in the microwave and in the freezer and you can blend stuff. If you don't have enough liquid in it, you are not going to get the stuff at the bottom of the cup blended, chopped or whatever you are doing with it. I have chopped garlic in it and it really doesn't do that good of a job. You end up with lots of chunks amoung the mush. Onions the same thing. Salsa turns into mush not chopped. Smoothi...

My husband and I were given the Magic Bullet as a gift - otherwise I probably wouldn't have purchased this on my own. While I've seen the infomercials and know how pricey this item is, I just wasn't impressed with it. It took up a lot of space in my kitchen. All the little cups and accessories are a pain to store and they don't stack nicely at all. They're also very cheap and cracked easily. The machine itself didn't keep up with anything. I tried to make a smoothie and it wouldn't chop the ice. In fact, it bareley chopped the strawberries I put in it. It was very hard to clean by hand and it didn't make food and drinks in large quantities - just small "bullet size" amounts at a time. The motor couldn't keep up with hardly anything we used, so we ended up giving it to Goodwill and getting a real food processor.

I love that the Magic Bullet is small and compact as I don't have a large kitchen and need all the counter space I can get.

I can't wait to make my own baby food for my two month old. This is a great way to save money on the grocery budget and fix healthy food for you little one as well. I also want to make fruit smoothies and love that this blender has the individual cups. It will also make cleanup a breeze!

I wouldn't recommend blending very hard foods such as vegetables and cheese as the unit is so small the motor surely will not hold up for long. I would definitely go with a larger blender for those tough jobs.

This is overall a very handy little machine perfect for smoothies, salsas, baby food....try it for yourself!

If you're looking for the best way to puree solid foods, this is it! While this item was given to me as a gift, I had no idea what I was going to do with it. It suddenly dawned on me, wow! This looks like baby food! I plan to use my Magic Bullet for making food for my second son, when it's time for him to eat solid foods. I can't wait!

Not a party machine

Overall

This is only good for fairly fluid things like shakes. and omlets. Used as a chopper its a good waste of electricity. Do yourself a favor and get a spring type hand chopper that you can use even when the power is out and get much better control of the size and consistency of the food pieces; plus you can work out the frustration this thing caused you. The Magic Bullet isn't even close to magic on frozen fruit smoothies or making peanut or almond butter. It takes too long and leaves the final product gritty. I have a Vita Mix that I love and got this to do single servings of vegan ice cream and spreads more easily. ITS A JOKE!!!!!! You have to chop all the frozen fruit into small pieces befo...

Okay for some items, horrible for others

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I was so excited to get a magic blender, how could you not be excited when you've seen the infomercials for it? It's supposed to mince, dice, chop, and takes the work out of making dinner. Wrong. I could never get it to crush ice for drinks or turn frozen fruit into sorbet. It pretty much takes the food close to the blades and pulverizes it leaving the rest of the food in the container untouched. It's also a huge pain to clean. Throwing everything into my dishwasher doesn't seem to cut it. It has little nooks and jutting plastic every where that seems to attract the food into hiding and not coming out. Even two and three runs through the dishwasher would require a hand cleaning before putting away to make sure everything was clean. I did, however, use my magic bullet to make my daughters baby food. While not ideal, it got the job done. How could it not, though, I would cook the food until it was so soft I could hand mash it but the magic bullet was faster.
