After watching the infomercial enough times to memorize it, my husband bought this for me as a gift when he found it on sale. I am very skeptical and quick to doubt, but I admit that this appliance is very handy in my busy family life. I use it for making homemade baby food, fruit smoothies (as advertised) and especially for preparing ingredients for meals and snacks. The Magic Bullet is one of the most convenient appliances I have - and I have a lot. You need to at least buy the 21 piece set as it has an average size blender included. Otherwise you are stuck with making small quantities of everything. Clean up is a breeze. I have refused to use my full size glass blender for years because it is so hard to clean. My only issue is with the small gasket. If you take it out it is tough to get back in place again. We enjoy making smoothies and milk shakes. I'm a health conscious mom and I feed my kids Shaklee meal shakes daily. My son likes Vanilla milk and my daughter, the chocolate milk. We mix them in the Magic Bullet. For years I wanted nothing but The Magic Bullet for birthdays, Christmas, Anniversaries, any excuse to buy me a gift! I never got it unfortunately. One day I was at an Outlet Mall and I saw that they had it for $60! I was so excited! I got it and went home ready to use it! I love my Magic Bullet! I wanted to get one for a long time after seeing the infomercial and finally did this fall. It really does what it says it will do! I have used my Bullet for salsa, eggs, Alfredo sauce, and smoothies. I also use it to make my own baby food and puree veggies for recipes. The clean up is pretty fast and easy. The only thing that sometimes isn't as good as I'd like it to be is that it sometimes everything doesn't get quite chopped up or blended in. The Magic Bullet is awesome!! So easy to use & just as easy to clean. Chops anything from herbs to ice in a breeze. I found an awesome use for the Magic Bullet ~~~ I make a meal a replacement shake every morning and mixing it with a spoon just doesn't cut it. I would always end up with lumps of powder that didn't get mixed in. With the Magic Bullet, I pour the milk & powder & blend and it's done in less than 10 seconds...with no lumps!! I'm not into kitchen gadgets at all, but the Magic Bullet is a great kitchen gadget to have. I use it everyday to make my meal shakes. They make it nice and thick, which makes it very filling for me. And it is so practical, because I drink the shake right out of the cup I mixed it in and it washes very easily. I also make homemade salad dressing with it, which cuts costs and also cuts out the preservatives and other ingredients I don't want. I have had the magic bullet for a year now. I love using it for small and quick jobs. Now the tv commercials make it seem that this thing can do anything and do it amazingly. Although it does work good, there are some things that it could do better. First off, I do love using the blender attachment. I have a smoothie maker, which is great for making smoothies but not for ice drinks. So for cocktails that need the ice finely chopped, the magic bullet does a wonderful job! The Magic Bullet is very helpful in the kitchen. I love it! If you follow the recipe book, most everything you make will turn out like the infomercials out there. One thing we make quite often is egg salad sandwiches (healthy, of course). You have to be very careful in using the blender by tapping only 3-4 times so that it wont turn into complete mush due to its inability to produce a chopped consistency (same is true for a lot of your veggies!!) We bought the original Magic Bullet because my husband wanted to grind up mincemeat from the jar. It is the perfect size for small jobs. He uses it to scramble eggs and I've chopped cheese. My favorite use is to grind coffee beans. The coarse grind makes a perfect cup of coffee in my drip coffee maker. The motor smells hot when you use it, but I have a hand mixer that I've owned for nearly 50 years which works fine despite the same odor. Magic Bullet blender is the perfect smoothie maker... I can whip one up right into the cup I drink from. Then whip one up for my son just as quick and easy. — It's so simple! All you do is fill the "cup" or blender portion with fruit of all kinds (my favorite is banana and strawberry) then add orange juice 1/2 way and the rest add milk. Oh toss in 2 ice cubes too...
