After watching the infomercial enough times to memorize it, my husband bought this for me as a gift when he found it on sale.  I am very skeptical and quick to doubt, but I admit that this appliance is very handy in my busy family life.  I use it for making homemade baby food, fruit smoothies (as advertised) and especially for preparing ingredients for meals and snacks. Clean up is easy: toss the cups and blades into the dishwasher and wipe the base off.  It's small and meant for short bursts of blending. If you want a food processor, buy one.  But if you want a fun gadget that can shave time off from kitchen duty, you should try this.  Also ideal for those with a picky family where every member has a particular drink they prefer because you can use the individual mugs to mix up the perfect drink for each person.  Two things I had issues with:  the price and the name.  I'm cheap by nature so I would naturally suggest buying when on sale or with a coupon.  And I'm still a young(ish) adult and the magic bullet I knew about wasn't appropriate for setting out on your kitchen counter.

In response to AmyA's comment from Feb 5, 2008 at 8:40AM:

My husband actually bought it from Kohl's during a holiday sale about a year or so ago. When you finally make the purchase, be sure to check the contents. I had him exchange the first one he bought because it looked as if it had already been used. Funny little sales associate tried to claim it was just bits of styrofoam. Sure, because styrofoam looks like dried up bits of vegetables and smells like a bloody mary.

I have had my eye open for this one...so far the cheapest I have found it was for $40...it was the Holiday shopping time and Xmas gifts had to come first. I am sure it will be on sale again at Kohl's.
