I am a directionally-challenged individual, unable to determine left from right without some forethought and cannot say with any certainly whether I am facing north or south at any given moment (I blame my mother's insufficient nurturing for this).  And maps are so utterly useless to me that I'm quite certain they are intentionally written in a language only understandable by males of our species.  It is for this reason that I daily worship the person who invented the GPS, and the Magellan Maestro 4250 has been a purchase I've yet to regret.  Using the 4250 is logical and effortless, compared...

I have had three Magellan Maestros of different models.  I love this model.  This is a larger screen that is easy to see if you need larger viewing.  It has multiple settings to choose from.  The touch screen is user friendly and takes you from one screen to another without hesitation.  It comes with cords for house charging, car charging and one to plug in to a USB.  It has a night display that is absolutely wonderful. The voice directions are loud enough to hear easily.  I keep the radio down though or probably would not hear it easily.  The voice directions have been accurate and warn...

The Magellan Maestro 4250 is a very good GPS system.  The screen is large and very clear. It is easy to navigate through the menu options and to enter addresses. This GPS gives you multiple options on how you would like to route to your destination i.e. fastest time, shortest distance, least use of freeways, etc. It has a day & night screen that make it easier to see and drive with during that time of day. The system has voice activated controls which was one of the main reasons i chose this particular model. While this is a great feature it does need some refinement. I have to practically scream...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Magellan - Maestro 4250 GPS Device!  My husband bought it for me when I had to go on a business trip to Seattle for a week, and it's been one of the best presents I've ever received.  Not only did I not get lost in Seattle, but we've since used it for a cross-country road trip, a trip to California, a trip to Florida, even locally, and it works like a charm every place we go!  On a recent business trip I rented a car and was able to go everywhere I wanted to go.  It was so nice to be able to get out of the hotel and explore the area without fear of getting lost!  My co-worker...

I purchased one of these units for my daughter as a Christmas present to elimate her every five minute phone calls when she was traveling in near by larger cities. Now she has the ease of using the points of interest to choose her route to get to where she wants to go with video and voice directions along the way without having to call for directions after missing her turn. Now if she misses a turn the GPS will recalulate her way for her.

I took the unit out of the box on the way home and after plugging it in to the lighter adapter and a few touches of the view screen it was ready to take me where...

I compared the Magellan Maestro 4250 vs. the Garmin Nuvi and I like the Maestro better for a few reasons:
1. Can add location by zip code
2. Gives you options to route by fastest, most use of freeways, least use of freeways, least distance -- great choices
3. Volume menu easier to get to

Overall, a great product
