Magazines.com Review

I came across this site through My Points and tried them.  They are reliable and great to work with.

Be careful, however, and read the small print on the automatic renewal.  I thought by checking this my subscription would automatically be renewed at the lowest price available through Magazines.com.  It you read the fine print it is at the price set by the publisher.  For an example I ordered Sports Illustrated one year for $39.95 and checked auto. renewal.  When it renewed it was at the publisher's price of $49.95.  I called Magazines.com and they told me that price was, in fact, correct.  So I xld it with the agent.  She was great.  Very polite, helpful and took care of the cancellation.  I then went on to order it again at the $39.95 price and DID NOT check the auto. renew box.

Then I ordered a magazine for my 16 year old granddaughter.  When I told her mother what I had ordered, she advised she was already getting that.  I called immediately and without a hassle, it was xld and I ordered a new subscription of something else.  The representative that helped me couldn't have been nicer and processed my request in a manner that was satisfactory and didn't make me feel as if I was dumber than dirt for not checking into it before I ordered.

I DO NOT check the auto. renew box, but will continue to purchase from them year after year and enjoy the good savings that are received from this site.
