Madagascar: Family Film With Lots of Laughs
comedy fan, love entertainment at home, enjoying movies at home, Netflix fan, Movie Reviewer, DVD watcher, a busy person

This past weekend I had the pleasure of watching a few old movies over again.  One of them was Madagascar, a 2005 movie produced by DreamWorks.  It is a computer animated movie that stars 4 animals from New York City that have led a sheltered life. 

Madagascar begins with scenes from a performance at a local zoo.  Alex, the Lion (Ben Stiler), is the star of the show and he loves to show off for the crowd.  His friends, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo and Melman the Giraffe all take back seat to Alex and do not seem to hold any grudges.  However, Marty gets the bright idea of wanting to... review »

Go rent Madagascar today so you can watch the sequel next week!

This movie was AWESOME. I think cartoon movies are getting better and better every time. Not only did the kids in the theater seem to love it, me and my 3 other adult friends were laughing most of the time. Chris Rock is great as the lead! David Schwimmer was a surprise, but was great also! Go see it as soon as you can so that you can watch Madagascar 2 when it comes out on November 7th 2008!!

DVD collector, into movies that tell a great story, very picky about kids films

I bought this movie second hand for my son hoping that he would watch it.  Now it is one of his favorites.  Also, it is one that I can listen to over and over again and not be ready to pull my hair out.  Chris Rock's voice just screams funny!  And I find myself chuckling at the adult humor throughout the movie!

lots of fun grand kids loved it and so did grandma while one might think its only kid stuff

Madagascar offers good entertainment for everyone

looking forword to the sequal  might just have to buy it to watch it over and over just so i can move it move it

my favorite line is when they think they are coming out here to the san diego animal park and they actually have a scene that you would remember if you every have visited the park f y i  a place well worth visiting if you are ever ourt here

sorry no penquins out there just the san diego zoo

Funny and fun movie for the kids

I really like this movie. The characters are colorful and there is a lot of music which is entertaining for kids. The plot is ok. There is a bit of violence that is kinda confusing for the smaller kids. But the colors and music make it a winner for my son!

This movie is hilarious. The lemurs and the penguins compete for my vote as the best part of the movie. Fun for the kids, but adults will be laughing as well. Can't wait to see the sequel.
