Great for modding
In collaboration with the release of Street Fighter 4, Mad Catz has released a Standard Fightstick and a Tournament Edition fightstick. The tournament edition uses authentic japanese sanwa parts that are highly respected in the community and many other perks of the stick. However Mad Catz does not put the same parts into this Standard edition stick(se). In the SE, Mad Catz uses their own made parts which are extremely clunky and do not respond well. So why do I rate this stick so high? Because it's a great arcade stick to mod. You can buy your own buttons and easily insert them after opening the case because all the parts are "quick-disconnect" which are held by attatchments from wires and not soldered onto anything. Just pop off the button and put your new one on and you're good to go. Another perk is that you can find a template online and add any picture you want and get it printed out at staples/kinkos to customize the art and personalize your stick without much hassle. To sum it up:Great stick if you can find it cheap and mod it to however you want. It could even end up costing less than the Tournament Edition Stick. IF you got the tournament edition stick and modded it, it would cost even more.
