Maclaren Twin Techno Double Umbrella Stroller Review

My kids are 17 months apart. So, I was desperate to find a good side-by-side stroller that protected them from the sun, gave me a bit of storage room, yet allowed them to chat with each other. I of course had a much longer criteria list such as: must fit through a regular door, cant be too heavy for me to lift and cant be too heavy for me to push.

The highlights of the Maclaren Twin Techno.

• Relative to the other similar options, this was actually quite reasonable in cost. Many others were in the $600+ range. 
• I like the amount of storage. There is enough room that I can carry everything for my two kids and have room to spare
• The handles and all pieces seem very durable.
• My kids both feel safe in the "seat belt" or, 5 point harness.
• The sunblocks have a peep hole for the parents to look through as they walk
• The recline feature is very easy to use
• I can actually pick up the stroller. That is impressive! Most doubles are too heavy for me to carry.

The downsides of the Maclaren Twin Techno.

• My kids tend to eat- constantly! So,it would be nice to have a stroller with eating trays
• Narrow seats- this is to be expected. Afterall, I wanted something that fit through 1 door. My son, however, at 3 years old is a little tight in there. (among his shoulders)
• Heavy to push. This is a workout for me. When my two kids are in the stroller, I am quite the spectacle trying to push them. (as an aside, it feels totally comfortable for my height. I dont know how it would be if I were 6'2".
• Large when folded- It isnt the most compact stroller. It does fit into my car trunks easily, but there certainly isnt much room to spare.

Overall, for the investment, I think it is an average option. I dont think it is outstanding in any way, but definitely not bad. Just average.
