I bought a Maclaren Triumph (2007 model) for my then - 8 month old. We had been using a Peg Pliko up til then, but it was really bulky, and he didn't like the feeling of being surrounded. The Maclaren is really light, fold up small, is easy to open and close. It reclines, so if he falls asleep in it, I can tip him back a bit, and keep walking. The steering is great, and the handles adjust up, so it's easy to push. It's smaller, so you're not pushing something 10ft in front of you and hitting people :)
It is very lightweight, so if he's not it, I can't carry anything on the back of it without it tipping over. It's not great for anything off-road, but if you know that and plan ahead (ie bring a stroller that is good for that), then it's no big deal. It also doesn't do well in the snow or slush.
I really like that it has a higher weight limit than the average umbrella stroller. Most of the cheaper umbrellas only hold kids up to 25-30 pounds. This will hold him up to 50 pounds. For those of us with big toddlers, this matters.
I wouldn't pay full price for this, but if you can find it on sale, it's worth the extra money.
