The Maclaren Quest is a great lightweight stroller.  It is perfect for the mall or walking around the city.  The seat reclines almost all of the way back, which is great for younger children as well as any child needing a nap.  This is one of the few umbrella strollers that also fit larger children.  It has a high weight limit and older children still fit comfortably.  The stroller is very light and easy to push.  The Quest can be opened up or closed down very quickly and easily.  The basket underneat the stroller is on the small side, however that is the nature of umbrella strollers.  The hood of the stroller isn't great and does not provide a lot of protection.  However, again, that is true of most umbrella strollers.  Even though this stroller is more expensive then some, it truly is a great stroller.  It works great for younger babies as well as older kids, is very durable, lightweight, and easy to push.  I highly recommend it.

After seeing many celebrities pushing their tots around in Maclaren strollers, I knew I had to have one. I'm impressionable like that. It looked so sleek, fashionable, and practical. I researched the brand, and loved that they originated in London which just.added to the chic-ness factor for me.

When the time came and our bulky Graco was too big to cart through small aisles, and became heavier to push due to a growing little one, I went right to Maclaren for a lightweight stroller. I decided on the Quest after researching the Volo, Techno and Quest. I appreciated that Maclaren offered designer prints--what I'd do for the Burberry print--however most were out of our price range. There isn't much to choose from print-wise if you aren't willing to shell out the extra buckage.

I was so excited to finally get our Quest, and when it finally arrived, I threw open the box with anticipation. There it was in all it's glory: black with neon trim, that beloved Maclaren logo emblazoned on the shade cover and down the sides...the very picture of mommy style.

Then I put my child in it and decided to test it out. "Hm. A bit hard to push, not effortless or 'light' by any means. Shade is wonky..doesn't cover very much. Basket under the seat is small and awkward to get to. No cup holder. Why did I pay so much for this again?? " Basically was my train of thought. I was completely underwhelmed with the Maclaren, and I couldn't figure out why a stroller so mediocre had such a following.

We shelled out the cash, so we decided to hang on to it for now. It is tiresome to push, and I cannot steer with one hand. If I had to do it again, I would not have purchased this stroller.

It is a lightweight stroller, nothing more.

Better than average umbrella stroller

By

from Southfield, MI

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

The Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller is much better than regular, cheap umbrella strollers. It's much more sturdy and maneuvers much better. This is a fantastic stroller for quick trips or for places where you need a smaller stroller to get around easily. It packs up easily and fits into a car as easily as an umber all stroller. It has storage under the seat, which for me is one of the best features. Umbrella strollers without any storage are useless in my opinion.

Design
I feel like this little stroller is designed very well. It functions smoothly and is simple to use.

Safety
Because this stroller is more sturdy I definitely feel as if it is much safer than smaller, cheaper umbrella strollers.

Child Comfort
The seat is padded and the ride is smooth. I definitely feel like my daughter was comfortable in this stroller.

Maneuverability
This is definitely much easier to maneuver than any other umbrella stroller that I've tried in the past.

Best one so far

By

from Staten Island, NY

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

With my son I have gone through at least 4 strollers so far. Its a bit much considering he is only a year and a half. He was out growing a lot of them length wise. Some are to heavy to take when I went on the bus or the trains. Then some were just right but not enough storage space. It was hard to find one that worked all the way around. Then my sister suggested I get a Maclaren Quest. They are pricey I will give you that but some times you are gonna have to pay for good quality products. They come in natural colors so its not to flashy which I like. They have the strap so u can carry it on your shoulder. The storage basket on the bottom could be a bit bigger but that is the least of my problems. it has to be one of the best investments i have made for my son. I will never go back to the other strollers that I have used in the past. So if you have the extra money go and buy one it will be the best investment for you as well as me. But hey everyone has their own opinions about every product. I am just stating mine.

Maclarens are the best!

By

from Jacksonville, FL

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

I have used many strollers and I am always on the quest for that perfect stroller. In my opinion Maclarens are just that. This stroller is light weight and easy to push. It can easily be lifted with one hand. It folds up very small, so it can fit in the smallest of cars. Since it does not take up too much room, it is the perfect travel stroller. It is always the stroller we bring on vacation, whether driving or flying it is the ideal travel stroller. I also really like the the handles are up much higher than most other umbrella strollers. The other small strollers that I have tried are too low for me, at 5' 8", so definitely much too low for my husband. The seat is plenty comfortable for my child. The straps can be a little tough to adjust, but they are secure and tough even for my 4 year old to undo. It is very easy for my children to get in and out of this stroller too, which is always something that I appreciate.

Light and Easy to Use

By

from USA

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

I have had this stroller for at least 3 years and find it very easy to use. It folds up easily, fits into small spaces, and is useful in every situation. I have found it to be very durable and cleans easily with a wet rag. I have a small car and it fits nicely and can be kept in the trunk even with many items stored there. It is light which is very useful for me as a small individual.

Design
Sleek design. I liked all the different color options when I purchased it. I easily found one that matched all the other baby gear items of different brands that I own.

Safety
Can tip with too much weight on the handles, but this is typical of any umbrella stroller on the market so I do not find it to be a lower rating.

Child Comfort
My son has enjoyed this from the age of 2 and is now nearly 5 and we use it now more than ever.

Durability
My stroller has not faded or stained in the nearly 3 years I have owned it. Toddlers can be rough on things and this looks as nice as the day I purchased it.

Best umbrella stroller on the market!

By

from USA

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

I absolutely LOVE my Maclaren Quest stroller. Besides looking nice with the various color combinations they have, it truly has been the most functional and easiest stroller I've had (and I've had many strollers). My kids think it's comfortable and it's so light and collapses easily that I would definitely recommend it to any mom out there. The only changes I would want Maclaren to make would be to make the underneath basket a touch larger and to add a cup holder but other than that it's just great the way it is.

Design
Great color combinations!

Safety
I've put my children in this stroller starting when they were around 6 months old and never had a safety issue or worry.

Child Comfort
My kids think it's a very comfortable stroller. They cannot lay all the way back though which could be a factor for some people.

Maneuverability
I can push with one hand without a problem.

Durability
My Maclaren has lasted for years and besides being dirty, nothing has broken on it at all.

Excellent Umbrella stroller very durable and lightweight.

By

from USA

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

I really enjoy using this stroller. It is very light weight and easy to fold together. I have taken it on many trips along with using it daily it is extremely durable for an umbrella stroller. I really enjoy it and it makes life with a toddler just a little easier.

Design
The design is easy to use and very compact when you fold it up. Which makes it great for travel. The cargo basket is small but that is normally the case with all umbrella strollers. Mine did not allow the back of the seat to recline all the way to a flat surface so you would not be able to use this for a newborn.

Safety
The harness is easy to put on but hard for child to get off. So they will stay in the stroller when you want them too! I did not see any safety concerns no places for child to get pinched or they were not able to reach where they should not be reaching. Wheels lock very well preventing a run away stroller. It does seem to tip easily if weight is shifted to the back. So you don't want to hang heavy things on the handles.

Child Comfort
Child did well no complaints. It is tall enough that feet are not dragging the ground. It is cushioned but very minimal cushion which is good in summer not so great in winter.

Maneuverability
Really love how maneuverable this stroller is, no problems moving it around. Remember it is an umbrella stroller so wheels are smaller it is not going to be a smooth ride like the big wheel strollers. For an umbrella stroller it has a good ride not too bumpy.

Durability
This is one of the most durable umbrella strollers I have found. Normally after frequent use the wheels are popping off, fabric is worn, and things get bent from being thrown in a trunk. This one does not seem to do that yes eventually these things will happen, but it will take quite a beating before that happens.

Great stroller

By

from USA

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

After having my last stroller which went with the car seat, I loved it but there were some things I did not like about it. Whenever I would take him to the mall with me I would bring the stroller and we would end up hitting things because it was outrageously big. I wanted something smaller since I just switched out his car seat since he was outgrowing it. I bought the Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller after researching the best strollers for days. I looked online for just about every review and many people liked this one! My favorite things about this stroller are the colors of the stroller, it is basic but very nice looking. I absolutely love the canopy on it. We go on many walks and my son does not like to wear hats, and the sun gets in his eyes and he does not like that either, so this is a great stroller for that reason. It's easy to hook him in and I know he is safe in the stroller. I don't like many other strollers for that reason. I'm behind him pushing the stroller and if he's not safely sitting in the stroller I get worried. Great stroller happy customer.

Fantastic and super lightweight - love it's ease of use!

By

Comments about Maclaren Quest Sport Stroller:

This stroller is super - it folds easy and is super light weight. We use it all the time for travel.

Design
It's light weight and easy to carry. I can pop it open and closed without help or work. Very easy to use and move.

Safety
Very sturdy - much better than the small umbrella strollers but with the same ease of use.

Child Comfort
It's still working for my 5 year old - she loves it.. It's bigger than most umbrella strollers or it seems that way to us

Maneuverability
Can steer with one hand without difficulty. Small enough to fit in tight spaces without trouble. Love it for shopping as it works great in the stores without trouble getting around the aisles. Goes equally great forward or backward..

Durability
We have used this stroller for years and have traveled with it many times and it is still as good as new. My mother even ran over the wheel with her car and it still works great - amazing the wheel popped right back on and didn't break..
