Mackinac Island Review Summary

Mackinac Island, Michigan, is located just off of Michigan's two peninsulas. To arrive at the island you have to take a "boat from either Mackinaw City or St. Ignace." The island provides "historic cemeteries and many Victorian Houses", “beautiful", and "Peaceful and Serene." It was unanimous amongst our reviewers that Mackinac Island provides a beautiful place to enjoy the waters of the lake, as well as the old city that provided many glimpses into the past. Great Mackinac Island fudge, the history, and the fact that no motorized vehicles are allowed on the island all added to the great experiences that both couples and families found on Mackinac Island. The only slight complaint that reviewers had were the cost of the Mackinac Island ferries, and that it seemed expensive for a family to enjoy it.
