I've had a Mac laptop for 8 years now and recently upgraded to the MacBook Pro 15". Best decision ever! It's sleek design is as beautiful as is it practical. It's under an inch thick and fairly light weight. The base is a solid piece of aluminum instead of the previous versions of assembled sheets of metal, which often came loose, so it's very sturdy feeling.
The screen is bright, has a mirror finish and is a great size for both regular computer use and graphics work. The keyboard is well spaced and lights up in low light. The built in webcam and mic display a great quality of both sound and picture. The touch pad is adjustable for sensitivity, and my favorite feature....the two finger scroll. Just use two fingers on the touchpad to move the page up, down, or over, I just love not having to move my cursor over to the scroll bar.
As always with a Mac I find it very easy to navigate and it's organization of folders and programs is practical and makes sense. The power cord attaches to the laptop magnetically which means it pulls free easily if you happen to trip over it (as I often do), and the laptop doesn't end up on the floor.
The hard drive has plenty of memory for any kind of comuter work, though I do usually store things like music and photos on an external hard drive to free up the laptop hard drive. It holds it's battery life forup to 8 hours if you don't have any programs running, but I find 3-4 more common since I usually have several things running at once. Did I mention it's fast??! I'm not the most computer technical person out there...not even close, but I have yet to find anything about this laptop that I don't love...well, except the price of course.
