Pros

I recently upgraded from a 12" iBook G4 to this lovely 15" MacBook Pro. All the same Apple goodness (no Windows-like crashes, no blue screens, no viruses) with a new kick. I especially love the two-finger scroll on the touchpad. Basically, using one finger is just the regular mouse function. But using two fingers lets you scroll (vergically and horizontally) as if you were using the scroll bars on the screen. Pretty much the same as the scroll button on an external mouse, but your fingers are that much closer to the keyboard.

And speaking of the keyboard: really really great. On each side of it are speakers more than twice the size of those on the iBook and with much better (but still laptop) sound quality.

The entire laptop is much thinner than the iBook. My only gripe -- although not really a gripe as something to get used to -- the screen's dimensions are different (not just the size), so the width-to-height ratio is much greater and takes some getting used to. Especially when watching video streams in full screens -- some players (like those of some TV networks' websites) don't stretch out all the way across, so you get those black strips on each side to even out the ratio.

Oh, and the built-in webcam is pretty neat. You'll be sure to have some fun with the Photobooth program (exactly what it sounds like: lets you use the webcam to take pictures of whatever's in front of your screen, mostly yourself) when you first get this baby.
