I started with slight heartburn to add to my anxiety disorder which has resulted in GI issues (IBS & Acid Reflux Disease). I found in the early days that Maalox with Priolsec worked. I continued to use Maalox along with the 2 perscriptions, which helps me get through the day when I have a flare up *(consult with your MD as I did before mixing perscripting and OTC medicines).* Maalox is not chalky like some other brands. The liquid is fast acting, which helps a lot. I would clearly recommend Maalox over any tablet or any other liquid brand on the market. Coupons are available but hard to find. You can find coupons in magazines more than in the newspaper. I have a friend who suffers from heartburn and I did recommend Liquid Maalox to him and we went shopping together to buy it. This is the brand he now purchases. Thumbs up for Maalox.

I originally purchased this because my son had massive canker sores in his mouth. They advised me to use this mixed with benedryl on a q-tip to soothe his canker sores. It worked great and helped them heal really quickly. No more chips in salsa for my 2 year old! It sat in our medicine cabinet for a couple of months before my heartburn/reflux started to act up. Used to be I only had pregnancy heartburn/reflux! This time it was reflux and it felt like there was something stuck in my throat - which made me feel nauseous. I took the recommended dose of Maalox and 5 mins later I finally had relief. The flavor was fine - so it didn't add to my nausea. It had a minty flavor which I believe is designed to help with upset stomach too. I didn't know it was good on infant mouth sores but I do now!! I'm even more impressed that it worked on my stubborn reflux. Maybe I COULD do pregancy again... Maalox could lessen my misery. Nope, not doing it!

I took this liquid Maalox for the first time recently and my intial reaction was that it tastes like liquid chalk! Just like Tums chewables and Maalox chewables alike. But then almost immediately, I began to feel some relief from my indigestion. Unlike any of the chewables, I began to actually feel the soothing effect of the liquiid. My stomach began to feel better in what seemed like no time. This stuff worked absolutely fantastic! I have never felt relief from indigestion so quickly. Needless to say, I have completely switched over to Maalox liquid for all of my indigestion needs. And I have done away with tums altogether. I wish every home remedy could be this effective and fast acting. Also, I should mention that the chalky taste went away almost instantly, so that wasn't a big deal. But I've heard they have other flavors as well, if the taste really bothers you. I highly reccomend this product.

I've tried many many Heartburn relief products from liquids to tablets, and I have found that the Maalox 12 oz relieves all of my heartburn and sour stomach symptoms.   It works very quickly compared to the other products I have tried, and is priced very well for the Antacid Market.  Nothing else seems to work for me but the Maalox.   In fact some of them just made me feel Nauseaus and sick after I took them, rather than to help my stomach feel better.   I'm so happy I discovered Maalox!     I've told many of my friends about it as well.   They have tried other kinds of relief to no avail, and have come back and told me that there were very impressed with the results they got from using Maalox Liquid.     And the relief lasts a long time too!  Up to 12 hours in some cases.   I don't have to worry about keeping tablets in my purse, and them spilling all over.  I can just take the liquid before I leave the house, and I know I'm good for the day!      Great Product!!

The other day I had a very persistent heartburn.  I sent my husband to the store to pick up medication for my heartburn.  I really didn't have one specific in mind, so he went to see what he could find.  He came back with Maalox Advanced Maximum Strength.  He got the cherry flavored liquid.  This was the first time I tried Maalox and was very happy with the results.  As soon as I tried it, my heartburn went away immediately.  I have tried other brands in the past.  Sometimes I would have to take the medicine several times to get relief.  What I really like about Maalox liquid is that it coats my throat as it goes down.  The burning goes away instantly.  Not only did I get immediate relief but the heartburn did not return.  Even after eating something later, it still worked the rest of the day for me.  I highly recommend Maalox.  It's so nice to buy a product that works the way it says it will.

I take maalox maximum strength liquid for my heartburn. I don't have heartburn on a regular basis but when I do I take this on an as needed basis. I also take this whenever I have upset stomach and some acid reflux , again on an as needed basis. It works pretty fast, tastes decent for medication and I don't experience any issues, side effects. Great product really. I prefer it over alka seltzer. There are times I use tums instead but the maalox in my opinion is more effective.Tums can double as a calcium supplement so thats the reason for that as well to consider. If you have something more chronic or regular as far as persistent acid reflux or heartburn or stomach pains you may need the zantac/pepcid or the prilosec etc type of agents. If it is especially severe you may want to get it checked out to rule out reflux disease or even an ulcer. I recommend this product for others because it works fast, is effective, tastes ok, and is always in my cabinet.
