I have tried several other over the counter products to combat the symptoms of indigestion, and had also tried several other of the Maalox line of products without much success. I actually wound up with this product when I sent my husband to the drugstore and he chose it. At first I was leery having tried other Maalox products, but I went ahead and tried it. First I was surprised by the taste - it was not as chalky as I anticipated and I actually found the cherry cream flavor to be quite pleasant, not too overbearing. I took the product as recommended, and although it did seem to take a while, it definitely lessened the severity of my symptoms within a reasonable amount of time and without taking a second dose. My husband tried it for a mildly upset stomach and it worked for him as well. I would give it four stars for affordability and taste, and three stars for how quickly it worked.

Maalox works great for its intended purpose and because you are drinking it, it works fast.  The taste is not great, but none of the medicines of its kind do taste great, they all taste a bit chalky.  Keep in mind if you are prone to kidney stones, they can cause kidney stones (due to high calcium content).  This is NOT something most people need to worry about, but a small percentage of people might need to think of this.

I had really bad heartburn during my pregnancy and nothing worked until i found  Maalox Maximum Multi Symptom Antacid & Anti Gas Liquid, Cherry Cream, it worked like magic. even though i am not a big fan of the taste nothing worked better for me

For the most part Maalox does what it claims it will. It is a product that i keep stocked in my house regularly. I suffer from a lot of heartburn issues, and while i try to take a daily product to help it, sometimes i need a little extra help. During that time i take a couple of swigs of my Maalox and within an hour or so i feel MUCH better.  The taste is pretty gross. I can't say that i've ever tasted one that wasn't! And if you are feeling queasy, it can be hard to get past the flavor and the thick texture. Also, this may be too much information, but i have ibs and this stuff totally messes with it. It actually gives me the runs. I'm sure thats not normal though. Just a side effect of my personal health issues. Even with all of that though, i've found that no other "instant" heartburn reliever works as well as Maalox does. I've tried the other stuff. Never helps. So i suggest giving this Maalox a try!

After a major surgery the medication I was taking was giving me horrible heartburn. It would keep me up all night and actually make me sick. After complaining to my doctor, she recommended Maalox. She said that she could write a prescription for something else, but found Maalox actually worked quicker and lasted longer than what she could prescribe. I had my husband pick me up some and within a half hour of taking it, the heart burn was gone. My doctor recommended me taking it half hour before taking my pain medicine to keep it from burning. It really did the trick! It did not need refridgerated and the cherry flavor was actually pretty good. I am not one to take liquid stuff. I could look at the typical pink stuff you get in the bottle and just gag. I was really pleasantly surprised by the taste of cherry Maalox. I would not use another product and would recommend anyone that has occasional heart burn to give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised just as I was.

This was prescribed to me by the doctor when i was pregnant and suffering from frequent gastric and heart burn problems etc etc.....  It worked on my heartburn very well. I used to take tums but i guess this is better than that. Now even after pregannnacy i take this wheneevr needed. It does have a chalky like taste but I don't mind it compared to others I've taken specially tums. But i guess most iof these things avaialble in the market do not taste very good.And this is also not very good when it comes to that but may be better. You will have a dry kind of feeling in your mouth once taken. So if you're looking for great heartburn relief specially for something safe during your pregnancy, this is it.Go for it. Its readily avialbale everywhere.Decently priced. i would defintely recommend it to anyone. I am not sure if it come s in various sizes.I guess just one standard size. I do like its bottle.

I LOVE Maalox Advanced Maximum Strength! I ate it like it was candy while I was pregnant! It worked on my heartburn very well. I love that it covers a wide range of issues, from heartburn to gas. I used to always take Pepto Bismol when I had heartburn but when I got pregnant Pepto just didn't cut the mustard for me anymore and I had to go in search of a new brand and came across Maalox. I use the chewables because I don't like taking pills and the liquid makes me gag. I recommend this product to all my preggo friends and include it in their 'congratulations' gift baskets I give when I find out they're pregnant. It has a chalky like taste but I don't mind it compared to others I've taken. So if you're looking for great heartburn relief look no further than Maalox Advanced Maximum Strength. You will be happy with your purchase and glad to finally find some relief! I still continue to take it on occasion when I've had something spicy for dinner and it always calms my stomach acid.

For the most part, this Maalox product, like the other Maalox varieties, does a pretty good job of helping you when you have stomach problems.  I have never taken it for gas, per se, but rather for upset or soured stomach issues.  The one thing I did notice was that the cherry flavor is not real strong - almost subdued like a glass of kool-aide with half of the flavor packet added.  I have also noticed that if you wait too long into an upset stomach, the product doesn't seem to work quite as well.  Often I have felt like the cherry flavoring, combined with the thickness of the fluid, makes my stomach a little more upset, possibly contributing to vomiting after use.  But, as I stated, this is usually when I have laid, hoping the naseau will pass on its own, and have waited until it is too late to alieviate the nausea.  I do think that it is a good bargain and does mostly what it claims to do.  I have also found that store brand products that advertise "Compare to Maalox" typically work just as well so the bargain will usually be found in sales or through the use of coupons.
