read full review »Although Muni is often late or unreliable, it is a very useful way to get around San Francisco. Unlike most cities in the US, almost all parts of SF are accessible by public transportation (Muni), making it unnecessary to own a car here. Also, the semi-electric bus vehicles help to protect the environment.
Having said that, it would be nice if they use longer Muni trains during rush hour, and the cars are often overcrowded. Also, the electric busses often tend to break down.
Despite the drawbacks however, Muni is a very valuable resource.
