MSC Cruises - Lirica Panama Canal Review

The cruise started out on February 28th 2008  from Ft. Lauderdale. This was going to be a 10 night  11 day cruise. nOnce arriving at the terminal I was advised that I would have to park at another area as they did not have parking close by. The cruise line personnel there stated that there would be a shuttle back from the parking area. Myself and 3 other persons ended up walking back to the boarding area of the cruise ship which took about 45 minutes.Luckily noone was handicap and would not be able to do so. On the ship we were excited to be there and looking for a great time as this was our 15th cruise todate. The 1st one with this cruise line. The next day we noticed that the food quality was really bad and it was very much oversalted. Iwas willing to say hey it's the first day so there will be better ones.Sadly to say the food become worse and undercooked. I ordered escargot and was anticipating a gourmet delight like the escargot ion Royal Carribean. The waiter brought our dish out  and it was a half of a backed potato with three escargot on it. I took a picture of it and it was disgusting to look at and tasted as bad. The lobster tail was very soggy and overly salted and could not be eaten. Most of the people around us commented how bad it was. On the buffet line I noticed italian sausage and took a bun to make a hoagie roll. I bit into the sandwich and the sausage was raw. I took it back and shows it to the cook and he made a new one for me. I was happy at this point and went back to the table to eat it. Again it was raw inside .I then went to the head waiter and showed it to him and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. This was the final straw. I could not wait for the cruise to end. The waiter and asst. waiter were very nice and caring and tried their best. The cabin person and his assistant were aklso great and took care of our needs and did a great job. The entertainbement was the same for the 10 days and it was bad. The onboard staff were very arrogant and did not care. Theactivity staff were their to amuse themselves and walked around with red noses on and copy how people walked and did their hand guestures.Never again for this cruis elines. Stay aware and do not waist your hard earned dollars as they do not appreciate  your business.
