MP3 Fiesta —

Tired of paying high prices for CDs and/or music downloads?  How does downloading a complete CD of 12 tracks for $1.98 cents sound?  No, this is not a typo.  Not $9.90, but $1.98.  Some of the newer CDs are slightly higher.  There is no special program to download as with Wal-Mart Music downloads, or Yahoo! Music Jukebox...and the rest.  However, you must be computer literate enough to make your own folders and know how to store the particular CD/Album you're downloading into it.

I'll try to explain: First, make a folder under "My Music" for the particular artist you are downloading.  Then open that folder and make another folder for the name of the CD/Album.  To make a new folder simply look on the left plane of the "My Music" folder.

I already had a folder for Eric Clapton under "My Music", but not for Cream.  After making a folder for Cream, I then opened that and made one for "Strange Brew: The Very Best of Cream".  From the 'download page' of MP3 Fiesta, RIGHT CLICK on 'download', then "save target as".  Then browse folders until you come across the right one.  It sounds difficult, but YOU CAN DO IT!  If a dumb old retired trucker like me can do it...you can too.  A DSL or cable connection undoubtedly works best.

I believe this site to originate from England because of the spelling of some words.  Example: Your Favourite Music not "Favorite".  But, that has it's good points also.  In the USA, downloading (Dare I mention this?) The Fab Four is a No-No.  Not on this site.  Beatles fans...HAVE A FIELD DAY!

Sorry...no picture for MP3 Fiesta.  Just follow web link.

In response to matt880's comment from May 29, 2008 at 12:21PM:

I really don't care if it's based out of Russia, China or North Korea! Walk into your neighborhood Wal-Mart and buy something...ANYTHING; it's made in China most likely. Some albums are the "import" version. So what? I've downloaded The Doobie Brothers, The Doors, and Neil Diamond...all English Import versions of the same cds you find in the USA. BIG DEAL! $20.00 on this site will still get you about 10 albums/CDs. $20 from another site will get you 2 albums/CDs.

This site is horrible, they are inconsistent with the track titles of the original albums. Sometimes substituting songs they do have into albums in place of songs that they don't have. You can't download a few songs just to try the service, you must spend at least $20.00. They also just doubled their price for tracks which I doubt the artists see even one penny of the 20 cents you now pay. I have read they are a Russian company, and when you research it all that comes up is " Mp3 fiesta is a project of Istok Company Ltd." I'm pretty sure they are European if they aren't Russian like I have heard, and because of the difference of copyright laws they have a loophole in the system and steal music off of other sites. Do the music industry a favor and buy songs from the artists. I spent my 20 bucks and got some good music I wanted, but their library is lacking A LOT of stuff. Though they do keep current with pop. If you start looking for music that isn't on the charts you will get varying quality of files. I usually like quality to be 192 or higher, sometimes they have 128 other times 320 and higher. Plus a lot of RANDOM bitrates like 177, 199... a sure sign they don't have a system of getting music onto their site, even more of a flag they probably steal their music. That is why Pandora radio is only available in the United States, international copyright laws aren't the same as they are here and sites like this would use it to
'harvest" music for free then turn around and sell it. I don't trust it, and I would rather support the artists that I like especially when buying only a few songs. Anyone else get the same feeling off of this site?

Actually, I just found out that mp3 Fiesta is housed in Moscow, which gave me pause for thought. I have been using them for a while and they are what they say they are. My only concern is that the legal document that says the artists are getting paid by the international laws is true and that they are. I figured that when I got a response on a tech question in very broken English, that I should dig deeper. The original html address I saw was .au, and I thought they were Australian.
