A piano student gave me a tissue tee with Scott Joplin music all over it. I was so conflicted over the skinny-ness of the tissue tee look and the fact that, after a number of washings, this particular tee (NOT a Mossimo) stretched nearly down to my knees, I vowed I'd never wear another tissue tee.
Then, I was seduced by the Long-sleeved Crewneck Mossimo Black: Tissue Tees that Target had on sale for a pittance. (This particular tee generally retails for $9.99.) The nothing, weightless feel of the 95% cotton and 5% lycra won out over the fact that I, myself, have a nothing and practically weightless chest over a very generous pair of hips.
I chose a greenish-blue shade hoping that that and the match to my eyes might pull the attention of anyone who cared away from my hips. Thus dreaming on, I put the Mossimo tee on and watched as my upper body shrank to super-skinny. Still, the naked weightlessness attracted me, and -- finally -- I found a formula that would work for both looks and comfort against the colder breezes of winter.
First of all, I keep my little hip-length tee tucked in. Second I layer a short-sleeved denim shirt or even a bright, satiny, long-sleeved lounging jacket over it. The look can be varied as all get out depending on the tee color and the clothes I over-dress it with. (Obvious rule for me: I never, ever, remove my denim shirt or colorful jacket in public.)
This Mossimo crewneck also gives me an opportunity to wear the necklaces my husband Pal has brought back for me from his trips to Taiwan. Because the Mossimo Tee has no detail and doesn't wrinkle, it provides an excellent backdrop for all kinds of neck decor.
You may want to purchase your tee either one or two sizes up depending on your "look". In any case, I recommend the Mossimo Long Sleeve Crewneck Tissue Tees to gals of any size who love comfort and color.

A little bit of history
There really is a Mossimo. His last name, Giannulli conjures up all sorts of continental glamour and intrigue. Be that as it may, Mossimo is California born-and-bred. He made his first million in a year, selling surfer-related garments while running his company from a garage on Balboa Island in Newport Beach.
Mossimo licensed his brand to Target in 2000 after financial reverses pushed his company "to the brink of bankruptcy" [Brand and history, Google search]. According to Iconix Brand Group, Inc. "the Mossimo brand has grown into a multi-billion dollar... company [globally] since founded... in 1987."
What is it with these brainy guys in garages?
