MGM Grand Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas, NV Review

I stayed at the MGM Grand in March 2009 for a birthday celebration and it was a great experience! I had never stayed there before and I was happy with the choice my boyfriend and I made. We got a great deal and the room was very nice. HUGE bed, very comfy with a down comforter, etc. The room was very clean and the maid service came every day. THe casino is HUGE with lots of different games, tables, slots, etc. My favorite part though was the Lion Habitat. Very cool to see such big creatures up close. The pool area was great, although took some time to find a chair, but we did get down there rather late. 2 cons about MGM: 1. the buffet was not impressive at all. There wasn't much variety and the food wasn't very good. I prefer the buffet at Planet Hollywood. Also, on our last day before checking out, we called the morning of to ask for an extra hour which we were told was fine. When regular check out time came, the maid service came knocking on our door and we told them we were checking out later. Then about another half hour went by and they came back again, but this time they didn't even knock, they just barged in! Other than those two things, I would def stay at the MGM again.
