Step in front of the MGM Grand and immediately you'll feel like you are in front of the Emerald City because of the way the building looks.  Step inside and there is a lively atmostphere of shops, restaurants and nightlife.  The rooms are comfy and cozy with a Strip or pool view and have a feeling of luxury.  They average about $150 a night, but if you are willing to splurge they have an amazing mansion addition where the suites are 100% elegance.  I often visit this casino for the restaurants, may of which feature world renowned chefs.  Emeril's features steaks ad seafood and recipes created by the famous Food Network chef Emeril Lagasse.  They have many fine dining establishments to celebrate a special occasion with a luxury experience.  I like the plethora of casual restaurants such as Wichcraft which specializes in sandwiches, the Stage Deli with fresh carved meats for sandwiches, soups and salads.  The coffeeshop features great specials for late night dining.  My favorite restaurant is Rainforest Cafe which is not only good food and family friendly, but it is a dining adventure.  The dining room surrounds animated animals with a rainforest every 30 minutes. The menu features salads, wraps and pastas.  Try the amazing appetizers to start off your jungle adventure or celebrate your birthday with a volcano dessert which is chocolate decadence complete with sparklers.  For nightlife checkout the Studio 54 or take in the artistry of the Cirque Du Soleil show of KA which features amazing acrobatics and art in a posh theater.  This hotel features a full 18,000 seat arena which is perfect for concerts and special events.  The casino portion features the most popular in games and surrounds the Lion Habitat where you can come up close to the amazing big cats.  For liquid refreshment check out the new Wet Republic pool lounge which is sure to relax you.  This hotel also features a spa which I recommend for the ultimate relaxation.  This is a great hotel to stay at during your Vegas visit and close to other Strip hotels for a lot of action.
