A nice tablet

By

from Oakwood Vlg., OH

Comments about Oregon Scientific MEEP! 2.1.2 Android 4.0 Kids Tablet:

The Meep Android 4.0 Tablet isn't the best tablet but it's okay. It's not that expensive and it comes with a bunch of pre loaded virtual books, videos, games and learning activities. It's graphics show bright and detailed with vibrant colors for easy and simple interaction.

Battery Life
The battery life is terrible. It can get maybe 1 and a half hour of constant use from a full battery.

Processing Speed
The processing speed is awful. Even after the Meep has updated any apps that it needs too it's still quite slow on too many things that it needs to have a better speed for, and that takes away from an overall great experience with it.

Weight
The weight of it is great and it's not too heavy or too light. It's just right. It has a good balance to it for handling without it slipping from your hands.

App Availability
The app availability is pretty good.

Design
The overall external design is quite cute. It's nice, very vibrant and modern looking.

Durability
The Meep is designed durably.

Not that great

Comments about Oregon Scientific MEEP! 2.1.2 Android 4.0 Kids Tablet:

Overall this is an alright tablet for kids to play on. I've had a few issues with the device itself. Firs of all the battery has issues. Second, it can quickly get damaged. Third, it is not as fast as I expected it to be. So there are a few problems with it. It was intentionally bought for the child to play with something when she was bored. For example on long drives, or at adult gatherings.

Battery Life
The battery life is the worst thing about the laptop. I've heard others complain about it as well.

Processing Speed
The processing speed is not that good either. It's somewhat slow, and I have gotten frustrated with it myself.

App Availability
The apps that are available are decent. It could be better but overall I'm happy with the amount and kind of apps that are available.

Design
The design could be improved but I do like how the tablet is designed for children.

Durability
The durability is fantastic. It's very durable which is great for children who tend to break and drop a lot of toys.

Good Kids Tablet

By

Comments about Oregon Scientific MEEP! 2.1.2 Android 4.0 Kids Tablet:

I purchased this tablet to give my daughter something that I could load educational applications to for earn to learn new things and to be entertained mostly during long road trips. It was a very complicated set up process but once you get through that initial hassle it is a good tablet for kids. My daughter drops her things often and this tablet is no exception. Luckily, it is durable enough to stand up to her repeated clumsiness without any noticeable effect on the tablet's performance. She loves music and taking pictures too and this tablet can handle both with a built-in camera and music storage it is really a great all purpose tablet for a youngster. The screen is sensitive enough to recognize the little touches from small fingers without trouble. It also has the parental settings and restriction access through cloud storage allowing you, as a parent, to adjust those parental control from any of your own devices at your convenience. As always, there is room for improvement, especially with this being the first generation for this particular tablet.
