My friend had a leak in the roof of his camper. The adjuster who came out tried to tell the man that his camper was permanent and he had no insurance when he called the office the adjuster lied and changed his story. Then he tried to tell him his damage to the trailer was because of lack of maintenance. Which he had a man caulk the roof and inspect it yearly. A branch fell and went through the membrane on his roof. He didn't know until water started running down his walls. I do not know what they expected him to do to maintain his camper but, the owners manual states the only maintenance required to a roof is to inspect and caulk the joints. I have talked to several different rv repairmen and insurance adjusters and all have said the same thing. This adjuster doesn't know a thing about campers. I would warn anyone who carries this brand of insurance on your camper if anything happens you will be screwed. All of the RV repairmen told me the same thing that this company doesn't like to pay out claims. AVOID this insurance for camper insurance at all costs. there have been three other campers in this campground that have had the same issues and the insurance companies paid in full for all repairs minus deductible. WE purchase insurance to protect ourselves from accidents like this now this guy has a loan on a camper and it is uninsureable because of the damage this company refuses to repair.

I am forced to terminate my decades long association with Meemic insurance company They seem to have me listed for a claim I never made and will not correct their mistake.My agent Brochue Szwec informed me its up to my to contact the claims department.I have done this several times to no avail. from their Ratings information sheet.. Item 8f Surcharges was given as the reason my home owners insurance increased from 904 to 2386 per annum almost 250% increase for two $1000 claims the only claims I recall ever making. 8f states a new applicant with a prior claim history excluding weather related claims 1.I was not a new applicant 2,A tree blown down on my house was weather related, My other claim complete with a police report was for the theft of personal property. I just get the run around from my agent and Meemic

I can't say my experience has been all bad because the customer service person from the start of my claim was wonderful. The rest is another story and one without an ending right now. The field person denied my claim because he could not see the under body damage and wanted to pay for a diagnostic test to see what happened. The claim start bad and ended worse. i WOULD GLADLY PAY more for insurance and have a better experience than 3 auto shops and 5 weeks of waiting for a repair.

I had this insurance for about two years. They used every opportunity to jack up my rate including this last time which they raised because I had too many claims (maybe 4 that year). So your telling me I'm going to get my rate increased for using the service THAT I PAY FOR? Also, at least half the time I submitted claims they didn't get processed. On one occasion I had to call 4 TIMES!!! Not to mention this last time when they changed my rate they didn't send me any notification which landed me with charges from my credit union because they raised my rate so I didn't have the funds. Would not recommend, would not use again. This service is horrible and the people who run it are scam artists. Customer Service I gave this a 3 because the people were friendly and eventually all my claims did get processed.

Customer service has been great, and the prices are even better. They have saved us hundreds of dollars over State Farm. Customer Service Everyone I have spoken to over the phone both in my local office and and the 1-888 number all have been extremely friendly and helpful!

I signed up with Meemic when I had only one used car, and was very happy with the quote price. Customer service was problematic, but I didnt need much so it didnt bother me too badly. Once I bought two new cars the story completely changed. Meemic over-charged, could'nt figure out how to bill me correctly, and was rude to me , to boot. I put up with it for a bit, thinking I was getting the best deal - then checked out state farm (which was about 25 % lower) and a far easier system to work in. Bottom line - Meemic's premiums are NOT WORTH the rude customer service, and outdated communication styles.

They came in low on quotes initially, but have raised the premiums every term and are now comparable to everywhere else. They are impossible to deal with--whenever we've had an urgent situation, we've had to call repeatedly. Our particular agents seem to answer the phone only between 9:30 and 4, Monday-Friday (and not at lunchtime). It took a full month for our minor car damage to get repaired because they were so slow to authorize the work. We've had to call the main office to get them to take our check out of their mailbox and process it, because they let it sit there for days until it is about to be late. And here's the kicker: Our insurance was paid from our escrow on time, but over a week later, they sent a threatening email and letter saying our house insurance would be canceled if the bill wasn't paid, so we sent a check. They cashed the check and never mentioned that the bill had already been paid. When we requested a refund of our money, they were completely unapologetic, and then they sent it back to the escrow account. What a wonderful thing to happen at Christmastime, eh?

I was a customer for over 7 years and when I wanted to make a claim they cut me off told me it would not be covered and would not give the info to pressed any further it also was very difficult to cancel or make changes over an hour and a half to make changes to account in the office and they made no change had to call many times and ended up stopping my policy which was a 3 week process they could never give any info just would have to call me back which would not happen. they would say I was paid up on account and send a bill. I will never use meemic and would not recommend it

MEEMIC has great rates the lowest we have found in our area. My husband works for one of our local schools and one of his co workers owns the MEEMIC agency in our area. We saved several hundreds of dollars by switching our home and auto insurance. We haven't had any auto claims, but did have a small fire and the claims dept was very quick to respond with settling our claim. We didn't see any significant increase in our premium after the claim either. I have no complaints about this company and would recommend it to other educators. Our agent is also very involved with the schools in our community and MEEMIC also has a mini grant proram to help teachers with funding for their classroom. I believe the eligible individuals are all educational employees, members and employees of educational credit unions, and staff of teaching hospitals.

My husband and I have been with Meemic Insurance for the past 17 years. We were with our insurance agent before he became an agent with Meemic.  It was previously Farmers Insurance Company. We have compared rates with other companies, and they couldn't even compare with Meemic Insurance company, as far as price verses coverage.  The Company is located approximately five miles from our home, so that is convenient as well, to pay the premium.  We have never had a home owners claim, but We have had some vehicle claims, and our agent was very fast on getting the claim settled.  We will continue with this insurance company. I believe this is only an educators insurance company, but since we were already with our Agent, he was able to carry us over to Meemic, which was great for us. Although we did check on their Life Insurance policies, we went with a different company, because of the price, it was higher than our life insurance we have now. The only faults I found with this company was the life insurance, and the fact you have to now pay by midnight before the due date, or your policy will be cancelled.  Let me add that we have never been late on a payment.
