I had such high hopes for this mask. I'd been hearing for a long time how great the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator is for acne due to the natural sulfur in it. When this was released in stores it almost instantly sold out, so I paid a rediculous amount for it online in hopes that this would save my horrible acne filled face. The first time I used it I was very unimpressed, it didn't seem any different from any other face mask. It didn't help clean my pores, didn't leave my skin soft, or do anything to make my face look better. It only left my face feeling tight. When I first applied it on my damp face it felt very hot, almost like it was going to burn my face. It is kind of odd as it never dries like most masks, it stays shiny and wet looking the whole time. It was kind of a pain to wash off, it leaves little black specks on my face. The second and subsequence times I used it I broke out in whiteheads all over my face, even in places I never get pimples. The first time it happened I thought possibly it just was bringing preexisting pimples to the surface so I tried it again. The next time was worse, I had no pimples on my face when I put it on and when I washed it off I had about 20 whiteheads all over my face! I will never use it again and I regret wasting my money on a worthless overhyped product. It's been 2 weeks since I used it and my face still hasn't completely recovered.
