MAC Reflects Red Glitter —

The problem with glitters in the past has been large particles not only cause problems, but they make one look like they just came from a 5th grade slumber party glitter fight.

MAC introduced Reflects Glitter some time ago, but I was not interested. Knowing my obsession with unique and useful duochrome products, many friends tried to get me to purchase some reflects glitter.

I did not have any interest until I saw MAC TEAL REFLECTS GLITTER which captured my heart. I picked up the blue and I was smitten with these little jars of glorious fun.

My latest acquisition was the REFLECTS RED GLITTER. It is a MUST if you like glitter, but don't want it to be obvious that it is glitter. It is beautiful in eye looks as well as in lip products.

WHAT IS MAC REFLECTS RED GLITTER LIKE?

MAC REFLECTS RED glitter is a very small particle duochromatic product that is not recommended for eye use, however with careful adhesion it is still possible to use it sparingly near the eyes.

However, what makes it very desireable is its use in lipglosses. It is absolutely beautiful in lipglosses.

The color is a very warm pink- light red color. The particles are whitish clear but as you turn them in the light, the flash pink/red.

HOW TO USE MAC REFLECTS RED GLITTER

TO USE ON SKIN

This product has some kind of adhesive to it so it sticks well to skin on its own.

However, using a mixing medium is helpful as well.

You can use mixing medium from MAC or you can mix your own:

MIXING MEDIUM

1 part vegetable glycerine
3 parts water

keep in dropper bottle (make sure to use clean container and water)

To apply this using mixing medium, dampen a brush or put a drop on your hand and mix it into the brush. Then dip the brush into the glitter and apply.

AS EYELINER

You can also use MAC REFLECTS RED GLITTER in MAC MIXING MEDIUM for EYELINER. This will cause it to stay put as an eyeliner. Keep in mind that this particular product is not recommended for eye use, but many use it without any problems including contact lens wearers. REMEMBER you use it on eye area at your own risk.

ON LIPS

To use on lips, either mix into lip gloss or apply lip gloss or lipstick and then dip finger or brush in the RED REFLECTS GLITTER, apply to lips and then press lips together to mix.

FINAL COMMENTS

I love this product- I use it mostly on lips. It gives a lovely depth to lip glosses that nothing else seems to bring about. If you have seen MAC DAZZLEGLASS, you will see many REFLECTS GLITTERS in those- that is what they used for that lucious glittery look.

LOREAL POP SHAKE COLOUR JUICE had this in it, as does LANCOME FRUITY POP JUICY TUBE are a couple of other examples.
