MAC Pleasureseeker lipstick from Neo Sci Fi Collection —
When I first saw MAC's new Neo Sci Fi collection which hit the market recently, the only thing I could say was "Bright Orange Containers?"That is pretty much what many people said. The neon orange containers for the products were a bit overwhelming at first exposure, until you got used to them and were able to look at the product inside.
PLEASURESEEKER LIPSTICK from the NEO SCI FI collection promised to be a creamy peach color- and I was expecting it to be very nice for summer.
WHAT IS PLEASURESEEKER LIKE?
Pleasureseeker lipstick is a very sheer color. It is reminiscent of a translucent creamscicle if that makes any sense.
It is one of the GLAZE versions of lipsticks that MAC makes which means that it goes on very sheer, but does build up more color if you want.
The shimmer in this lipstick is light peach- nothing special or unique.
HOW DOES THIS LIPSTICK LOOK ON?
Many people complain that this lipstck does not show up on their lips. I thought so too at first, but then when I tried it on again (after the initial shock wore off) I found that I really like this a lot for summer.
It does not have the pink tones of other colors like Lollipop Lovin, nor does it have the coral tones of Jest lipstick. It is pure creamy peach sheer, for once, MAC's description on the site was quite accurate.
Although this is not a very unique or unusual lipstick, it is very wearable and excellent for summer. It looks great with golden blonde hair, bright red hair and some warmer browns as well.
The nice part is that this lipstick is easy to apply, without having to worry about staying in the lines as much.
FINAL COMMENTS
If you like peach, I suggest this lipstick. It is excellent for summer, does not make my lips peel excessively like many lipsticks do- but it is not particularly moisturizing. You will need a spot of gloss over it just to keep lips soft.
Pleasureseeker has been selling quickly but it is still available at some MAC stores and counters. They might get another shipment online as well.
Despite the neon orange lipstick container, it is a very nice wearable lipstick for summer. It still has an extra punch over many of the neutrals that are out there.
