MAC Naked Space Lipglass ( Neo Sci Fi Collection) —
As a makeup artist, I like to go from one side of the spectrum to the other. I go from wild colorful and creative to subdued and understated on a regular basis. In the summertime, because of occasional watery eyes , I like to keep my makeup to a minimum, yet I still want to look elegant and feel pretty.One thing that I like to have handy are a few lipcolors, especially lipglosses, that look natural yet enhance my appearance so that I feel *WOW* but still don't look like I have anything distinctive on.
Recently, I found the perfect lipgloss color for summer for me - MAC NAKED SPACE LIPGLASS from the Neo Sci Fi collection.
WHAT IS NAKED SPACE LIPGLASS FROM NEO SCI FI COLLECTION LIKE?
I was traveling for three days. It was the third day and I realized that I had to be at the theater that night, and that we would arrive so close to the showtime that I would have to literally throw on a skirt and run out the door when we finally arrived in town the first day we got there.
I happened to talk my mother into taking me to a MAC counter (we have no MAC near me at all, so I very rarely get to see MAC in person before I order it online).
The makeup artist was wonderful, so I had her do my makeup for me- that way I would not have to worry about being ready that night when we arrived in town after three days of traveling!
I had on a black lace top and she did my makeup using some of the new mineralized shadow duos (which I will be reviewing as well) along with this new lipgloss that I had never seen before.
The color was NAKED SPACE and it was from the Neo Sci Fi collection which is best known for its neon orange packaging which some people have claimed almost burned their retinas from being so bright (that is a joke for anyone who might have missed it- LOL).
When she applied this color, I was amazed at how beautiful it looked. Even my mom who usually does not care much about makeup kept commenting that it was a gorgeous color on me.
WHAT IS NAKED SPACE LIKE?
NAKED SPACE LIPGLASS is a beautiful color which is a cross between champagne gold and light peach. When it is on, the effect is very beautiful. Despite it being more of a warmish color, the icy pearl in it, makes it very wearable by those who have a cooler base to the skin- and perhaps sport a small summer tan.
The fragrance is the same vanilla fragrance that MAC has in most of their lip products, but it is very slight and vanishes rather quickly.
NAKED SPACE stays on very well- I have to reapply only about half as much as most lip glosses that I have. I would say once every hour or two unless I am eating- then there is still some left, but I have gotten in the habit of wiping off all lip products before I eat anyway. Who wants all of that gunk in their bodies when it really is not necessary anyway.......?
FINAL COMMENTS
I highly recommend NAKED SPACE lipglass for people who love neutral colors, but like to have a little bit of unique coloring on the lips. I find that it brightens up my face whether I am doing a cool palette or a warmer one. It seems to bend either way unless the cool palette is very severe, then it won't work ( I am talking like ice cold blue, black, and magenta combinations with very dark hair and cool coloring).
The price was $14 at the time I bought it.
You can get Naked Space online still at www.maccosmetics.com . It is limited edition so make sure to get a backup if you really love it, or you might miss out on it.
It is the perfect summer color for me- I just love the touch of gold, which does not go over the top but is just enough to boost me past typical nude lipcolors.
