MAC Mineralized Skinfinish So Ceylon —
I have other reviews of Mineralized Skinfinishes and explain at length how to use them and why I rave about them constantly. If I could have nothing but Mineralized skinfinishes in my kit, I would be satisfied.Here is my detailed review of Mineralized Skinfinish if you would like to read more about why I rave about this product more than any other product in my kit.

WHAT IS SO CEYLON SKINFINISH LIKE?
Described as a Rose Bronze with gold bronze veining, SO CEYLON MINERALIZED SKINFINISH is part of the Sheer Minerals Collection from MAC that was just released this past weekend.
So Ceylon Skinfinish is a lovely rosy medium brown taupe color with a pearlescent finish to it. It is in a domed cake of product and a little goes a long way.
If used with a *skunk brush* (a brush with short black and long white bristles- in MAC it is known as #187) application of this product provides a lovely light diffusing finish which brings the Hollywood glow to the face.
HOW TO USE SO CEYLON SKINFINISH
Because SO CEYLON SKINFINISH is on the dark side, sometimes people with lighter skin get intimidated with it. I am quite fair in complexion and I use an even darker color on my face with great success. In my profile photo that you see with my photo on it, I have on a darker color than So Ceylon and you can not see it.
I use So Ceylon as a contour color. Under cheek bones, and under the chin and in the decollete.
So Ceylon also makes a GORGEOUS eyeshadow- contouring in the crease. Used dry, it is very light, but used with a damp brush, it makes a really lovely natural shadow color. If you use this with a wet/damp brush, try scraping it off onto another surface to mix it - don't do it on the cake of makeup or it will deform it and not make it as nice to use with the 187 brush.
So Ceylon also makes a lovely lipcolor for a dark nude look, but I prefer a light gloss over it.
On women with darker colored skin, it is a fabulous brightener to make you look awake.
COMMENTS
I was at a MAC outlet store some time back and came upon a valuable collection of So Ceylon Skinfinishes that they were selling. There were only a few of them, and I was so excited that I thought of buying them all.
In came a medium-dark skinned woman who looked very washed out and tired. She was a lawyer who was on her way to plead an important case. She had stopped in to purchase a Clinique foundation. Seeing what she was headed for, I ran up to her and BEGGED her to let me try something on her.
I had been in the middle of explaining to the girls at the store how valuable that the Mineralized Skinfinishes were, and now I was going to show them.
This woman laughed as I whipped my 187 brush out of my purse and began to use the sample tester to apply SO CEYLON SKINFINISH to her tired looking face.
I simply swirled it on over her cheeks and her forehead and chin very quickly and lightly.
The change was so dramatic that even I jumped back and gasped. This tired worn out woman looked like she was at least 10 years younger- JUST WITH THAT ONE SIMPLE CHANGE!
I could not stop staring at her. I never saw anything so dramatic with so little before when it came to makeup.
