When I first discovered the MAC technakohl eyeliners, I had been on my way to an anniversary weekend.  Plagued by horrible allergies that left me with eyes gushing water continually, my makeup routine was at best- hopeless.

What I needed was something that would stay on despite my watery eyes.  Liquidlast liners usually did, but I did not have anything subtle enough to use for my look that I was wearing that day.

Although I do not have a MAC counter nearby, I happened to be going by one on my trip.  I talked my husband into stopping at MAC so I could catch a glimpse of anything I could get my hands on since I so rarely get to see anything from MAC in person unless I purchase it online.

When I got into the store, one of the best makeup artists I have met happened to be there.  I asked if she would mind doing my makeup and she was very happy to do it.  I figured that it would all wear off in two minutes anyway so at least I could try it on.

What I discovered shocked me.

WHAT IS FULL OF FUCHSIA TECHNAKOHL KAJAL LIKE?

Several hours later, I arrived at our destination.  My eyes had been watering terribly and my skin around my eyes was almost raw from the constant tears.  I looked in the mirror and saw the most amazing thing- the technakohl liner that the makeup artist used on my waterline looked virtually untouched.  My other makeup (paint pots) around my eyes was peeling off in patches, but my waterline looked fantastic.  I never in a million years expected this to last on me- as no other MAC pencil eyeliner ever lasted on the waterline except for Stubborn Brown Power Point.

This led me to wonder if technakohls would work all of the time.  I was only able to try one other color on my way back and again the result on my waterline was the same- perfect staying power, yet at night it removed easily with my usual cleanser.

When I heard that FULL OF FUCHSIA was coming out in TECHNAKOHL formula, I got very excited and made sure to order two of them, since they are limited edition so once they are gone, they are unavailable unless MAC re-releases them.

Full of Fuchsia technakohl eyeliner kajal formula is a highly pigmented fuchsia pink with violet blue shimmer in it.  Although it takes two coats to get to the level of intensity that I desire, it still is absolutely beautiful.

Darker than Pink Pearl pigment (a MAC color) Full of Fuchsia technakohl kajal eyeliner is an automatic pencil which means that it does not have to be sharpened.  In fact, it is similar to the MAC eyebrow pencils which are automatic.

Full of Fuchsia has excellent coverage.  One coat is medium sheer, but if you let that dry and then apply once more, it is very vibrant.

The tip is chiseled so that you can apply fine lines or wider lines if you tilt it from one direction or another.   There is .35g of product in each pencil.

HOW TO USE FULL OF FUCHSIA TECHNAKOHL KAJAL EYELINER

My favorite way to use Full of Fuchsia is to do a neutral eye and then line the waterline with fuchsia and use a dark purple, or dark brown (depending on the look) in the corners of the waterline.  That way I have just a pop of color which will blend with something I am wearing.

Another way to use them is to blend the liner as soon as you apply to the lashline, but you have to work fast- once these set they are pretty durable.

The reason I bought two of these is that Full of Fuchsia makes a perfect lip liner.  I don't know if MAC recommends it for that or not, but when it comes to liner, I find that it does not migrate into the mouth like lipstick does so I am generally fine in doing this.  The durability of this liner is fantastic for lip liner- I blend it nicely before it sets too.  Stays on beautifully.

I use Full of Fuchsia with really beautiful colors like SHOW ORCHID, VIOLETTA, FUN N SEXY and other bright colors of lipstick.  Full of Fuchsia is more pink and vibrant blue shimmer than Magenta lipliner pencil that is also from MAC.

COMMENTS

I will continue to update this review as I have a chance to really use Full of Fuchsia technakohl kajal eyeliner.  So far I have found that it works well on the waterline, but will continue to test it.  I am not sure about the lashline for me- as it does not stay put quite as well as it does on the waterline for some reason. As I discover more I will be updating this review.

To keep the point sharp, you have to conciously make an effort to use the liner so that the tip does not become flat.  This is kind of difficult as you don't get that much product to begin with and it is impossible to tell when you are running out until you are there., so you don't want to use up product just to keep the tip sharp.

This would also be an excellent choice for doing makeup ART on the eyes- Full of Fuchsia would make nice precise lines as well as filling in small spots well for a base under strong bright shadows.

I don't find that it looks bad on me, but those with warm complexions might find that used on the waterline or around the eye could make them look like they have red eyes.  It is a matter of experimentation.  In that case, it might be good as an accent color.

As a lipliner, I love it.  It lasts a long time and looks fantastic with bright pinks, violets, and even crazy colors like orange and light pinks if I combine them right.

I have a swatch photo with this review and if you click on it, it will get bigger so you can see it.  The blue shimmer did not come out well on this photo, but I plan to update with other photos as I am able to take them of different things I do with this liner.

As of now, for the price of $14.50 I think that Full of Fuchsia is an excellent liner to have if you like bright colors, and bright lipsticks as well.  I plan to use this often and the violet shimmer makes it very unique and interesting to wear.
